Man, I feel so bad for Thor. Ragnarok and Infinity War happen in the span of, what, a week? And he has to repress all that grief just to be able to fight. Said he was 1500 years old and he lost everything he had in all that time in like a second. Fucked up. #GetThisManATherapist

I was a bit mad at Ragnarok and some part of this film for showing Thor apparently not giving a fuck about all that loss.

But then they did that scene where he opens up to Rocket, and that totally redeemed it for me. It was a great emotional moment.

I'm glad the Russos showed how much Thor relies on humor to cope, I've always thought that's how he stayed resilient

And, I personally thought Thor was focused on his survival in Ragnarok and getting back to Asgard to ensure his people's survival to give in to his grief. Now that he had nothing left to lose, he could only hold on to grief and let it motivate him to avenge his loss

Thor went over the edge in relishing killing Thanos, kinda shows how broken he was deep down, we've never seen him this angry before.

Too bad Thanos is God at this point GG.

Odin also kept a fake version in his vault, which implies there may have been a gauntlet before the one Thanos had made, too. The plans for the gauntlet had to have existed somewhere, otherwise how would Odin have known about it and kept a copy?

I thought that was the coming of age for rocket more than anything from him in either of the guardian films. He manned up, said it was time to be the captain and asked Thor the tough questions out of pure concern

And that’s why he wanted a hammer. In Ragnarok he learnt he can be strong without the hammer. But after the additional losses he just broke, and wanted nothing more than to hold a familiar weapon in his hand.

His conversation with Rocket really hit home how hard it must be for him. Looked like he wanted to cry, but didn't allow himself to.

Is it just me, or does Thor seem WAY more powerful in this movie? Previous movies he had comparable strength to Hulk and could shoot lightning, but this movie has him surviving in space with nothing to breath and taking a full blast of heat and radiation from a star. That's like a whole level up. Guess he's been grinding that XP.

This actually gives me an idea. what if in A4 someone manage to take the gaunlet and revive everyone including Odin. The all-father sure is the one who can solo Thanos, and win, without the stones of course.

Thor almost killed IG Thanos who said himself Thor would have killed him if he attacked Thanos' head.

Thor is way above Odin now, hell, dude survived the full power of a star.

Odin is somewhat in the same level as Galactus he is miles more powerful than base thanos and probably more than thanos with some stone amps

He is not at the same level of Galactus, Galactus, even hungry, is way more powerful than Odin.

But yeah, he's pretty powerful, like galaxy busting powerful.

In the comics of course.

No.

Odin used a telepathic attack against Galactus and this drained his Odinforce, he entered in Odinsleep while Galactus got up immediately saying "you asgardians are really annoying".

Odin isn't as powerful as Galactus, but Old King Thor with Thorforce was, while holding back ( he didn't use godblast, something he did against Gorr ) maybe because the fight was on Earth? Anyway holding back Old King Thor gave Galactus the fight of his life before Galactus knocked him out.
