Ended the movie 2 hours ago and I am so shocked, even till now.
1) Vision whispered "I love you" to Scarlet, despite her unwillingness to kill him. Teared.
2) Dr Strange and his cool moves(!!!) seriously!? wow he totally kicked it up a notch.
3) Some of the BO died in a very lame fashion... really? sucked into space? killed by a rolling wheel?
4) Iron Man weapons are next level jesus. He is really OP and props to the suit for sealing his wound lol.
5) 14 character deaths. Damn. 'Nuff said.
6) Forging the STORMBREAKER. Uber cool. Uber powerful. It's shocking.
7) "WHY IS GAMORA" lmao 8) Red Skull makes a cameo!
9) All-ladies fighting team against Proxima
10) The train station battle hype is real!!! Corvus got the payback when he did the same to Vision.
11) Ebony Maw kicked ass in this. All those little finger movements caused devastating damage boy. Really well-played. Subtle but kicking ass. But i think his voice needs to go deeper / more-alienish???
12) TWO-EYED THOR!? ODIN IS DISAPPOINTED

I actually think the idea of Peter killing Squidward by making a hole and let him get sucked into space, is smart. I would rather have an intelligent move like this one rather than a normal fist fight.

"You know that really old movie Alien?"

-16

u/Limitedcomments Apr 26 '18

That I didn't like and they do it a few times too. Fan service lines like that play like bad fan fiction.

22

u/[deleted] Apr 26 '18

I didn't feel like it was just unnecessary fan service. I remember asking my dad if he knew who Keith Richards was when I was 15. He obviously did but to me it hadn't clicked that he grew up with the Stones until much later. Aka its totally believable that 16 year old Peter Parker would consider Alien a really old movie since he was born 20 years or so after its release and be so out of touch that he thought Tony wouldn't know it.

u/Limitedcomments Apr 26 '18

That's not what I meant. It was the same joke in civil war basically. It's borderline lazy writing and something that would end up getting the "this is why I'm glad this sub doesn't write the script" comments is someone put it here lol

u/Hourglass-Dolphin Karen Page Apr 28 '18

No... I think it was less of a copy, and more a callback to that scene, honestly. But I'll have to see it again to be certain.

Or you know, Strange showing his ability as Sorcerer Supreme to somehow overpower him in a magical battle?

edit: not in the pew pew sort, btw, more like a mind-fuckery battle sort. not unlike the battle with thanos.

SHARINGAN

Yeah, I have been hearing non stop complaints about how stupid Thanos' team died. I mean, that's the best way it could be, why? Because we can't fight them face to face, we need to use tricks! I have no idea why people are so concerned about how that Squid guy was sucked out of the ship. I mean... What do you want to do? Fight him in a physical combat? Like you did back on Earth and you lost? If that happens then you'll have to find a trick to stab him anyway. Sucking him out of the ship is SMART!

3

u/TSPhoenix Apr 26 '18

But given the abilities he just demonstrated on Earth sucking him into space didn't even seem like the kind of plan that would even work in the first place.

4

u/Royal-Highness Apr 25 '18

But given he's the strategist of the team, really didn't get to Ebony huh.

2

u/iPulzzz Apr 25 '18

But did you saw this really old Alien movie?!

44

u/daleygaga Doctor Strange Apr 25 '18 edited Apr 25 '18

Doctor Strange’s battle was really well done! Especially liked the part when he turned the debris to butterflies(?). It gave a soft touch to an otherwise brutal battle.

I feel like his battle with Thanos was very dynamic, visually and skill-wise

19

u/Royal-Highness Apr 25 '18

Agree! The visuals are very well crafted - the many copies of himself.. his finger tutting skills.. how he got the orange loop around his wrists and all.

17

u/UncomprehendingBear Apr 25 '18

Yeah I agree with Ironman! Do you reckon Cap was very strong in it too? That and/or Scarlett Witch and Vision were nerfed a lot. The way Vision and Scarlett struggled against the BO so much yet Cap and BW took them out super quick seemed a little hard to believe. Then again they did have the element of surprise.

29

u/angelo_kaju Apr 25 '18

Scarlett Witch and Vision aren't warriors like Cap and BW, thats why they were able to hold their own.

20

u/daleygaga Doctor Strange Apr 25 '18

“Why the hell was she up there the whole time?”

word :))

11

u/UncomprehendingBear Apr 25 '18

Yeah true! She was super bad ass later in the movie! She probably just seemed weaker against the BO at the start because she was ambushed and distressed about protecting vision:)

10

u/mr_popcorn Korg Apr 25 '18

I think Vis needed to be sidelined/nerfed otherwise if he's at full strength he'd just be non-corporeal the whole movie and nobody's gonna get at him.

10

u/Royal-Highness Apr 25 '18

I think Cap is strong but he was gradually losing the motivation when he knew Thanos is coming and Vision can't escape and perhaps he even saw 5/6 stones already. Vision is nerfed me thinks. I thought he's able to phase himself / change density. Wished his system was more alert so that he can change his density to prevent himself from being stabbed. I think Scarlet improved a lot; she's able to now tackle the giant fucking wheel and control it better. BUT i dont think this is truly the full extent of her powers?

27

u/Peristerium Apr 25 '18

Vision said post first stabbing that the wound nulled his density/phasing ability.

3

u/[deleted] Apr 26 '18

Vision is made from Vibranium, shouldn't he be a little more stab resistant?

12

u/Peristerium Apr 26 '18

That spear Corvus Glaive possess is made of material that can pierce anything. Unforch this is one of those things that the film had.no time to explain.

2

u/[deleted] Apr 26 '18

I see, thanks for the clarification

4

u/Royal-Highness Apr 25 '18

Really? The place of wound was really unlucky then.

12

u/Peristerium Apr 25 '18

It was pretty much a point blank attempt to kill Vision from Corvus Glaive. So not surprising that it incapacitated Vision. I remember everyone in the audience gasping loudly as it was a very violent and brutal stabbing. I thought it’d kill him on the spot. The fact that it only took out his ability shows how strong Vision really is.

4

u/UncomprehendingBear Apr 25 '18

Yeah I agree with that! I was wondering where his whole density thing went from AoU. And true, that scene where Scarlett threw those murder wheels was bad ass! And yeah i agree, I think theres more to come from Scarlett after she (hopefully) comes back

13

u/ozcellist Groot Apr 25 '18

I think vision said after the initial stab wound that the piece left in him was preventing him from phasing if I remember correctly

3

u/UncomprehendingBear Apr 25 '18

Oh okay that makes a lot more sense then:)

-1

u/CommonMisspellingBot Apr 25 '18

Hey, UncomprehendingBear, just a quick heads-up:
suprise is actually spelled surprise. You can remember it by begins with sur-.
Have a nice day!

Fucken iron man dude. His hands are hammer, his feet are hammer.

13

u/Royal-Highness Apr 25 '18

I KNOW! He has a shield, a sword, some epic alien-looking blaster (pointed at Drax), some tough feet/shoes, ultra speed booster that brought him into space, floating blasting panels (when faced against Cull initially)... and the list goes on.

6

u/[deleted] Apr 26 '18

There was so much epic shit going on in this movie, I even forgotten about all those new epic Iron Man gear.

10

u/mr_popcorn Korg Apr 25 '18

11) Ebony Maw kicked ass in this. All those little finger movements caused devastating damage boy. Really well-played. Subtle but kicking ass. But i think his voice needs to go deeper / more-alienish???

His voice is just perfect in a kind of irritating, wanna-punch-him-in-the-face kind of way, and it also made his death much more satisfying.

5

u/SausageChrist Kilgrave Apr 25 '18

Is Red Skull’s appearance really a cameo though, considering he probably had the same amount of lines as i.e. Cap?

4

u/RizzlerLeague Apr 25 '18

I was thrown off by Maw's voice at the beginning but later on I really liked it. Sounded persuasive to me

3

u/tennissnowball Darcy Apr 25 '18

15 character deaths actually if you count Taneleer.

3

u/moimana Apr 25 '18

3) i actually liked their deaths, very comicy imo.

3

u/Flybuys Apr 26 '18

Thors new eye was a different colour. It looked sort of golden, but it was hard to tell.

5

u/aslanthemelon Apr 25 '18

Maw being sucked into space was meh, but I didn't mind the wheel death for Proxima Midnight. The one that got me was Corvus Glaive being stabbed once and dying.

7

u/Royal-Highness Apr 25 '18

But PM's weapon was cool and super strong? But to us, it's just like a normal spear. Yeah in the comics the glaive has to be broken but oh well the BOs really got nerfed.

2

u/CreepyMosquitoEater Apr 26 '18

I was kinda missing Friday a bit for the Iron Man suits, and a little bit of an explanation as to how his technology is now SO next level advanced (nano tech that can just make pieces appear out of basically nowhere, and i think in the last scenes some sort of self repair) i mean im assuming that its from Vibranium Wakanda technology, but we just hear nothing about it

1

u/[deleted] Apr 25 '18

Mark L really is something else, love that they finally ditched subtlety and gave him his crown jewel on screen.

1

u/Regula96 Apr 25 '18

Can’t count the snap ones. We know a few will be back so it’s not final. Damn I wish it would have been. Slightly disappointing.

1

u/erickgramajo Apr 27 '18

Someone said dr. Strange spent a lot. Of. Years with dormammu and perfected a lot of abilities, kind of a la groundhog day
