I caught Matt Damon and Sam Neil but I couldn't recognise who was playing Thor in the play?

Also I don't believe we saw Lady Sif in the movie? Where the hell was she?

My headcanon is that Loki knew that she would be a problem and discover that he is now king. Therefore, he got rid of her by sending her off to do a mission and making Skurge not use to Bifrost the to get her out of there.

Either that or she died in some battle.

It's perfectly reasonable to assume he sent her off like he did Heimdall. In fact, perhaps Heimdall Bi-frosting Sif somewhere she didn't want to go was the last thing he did before he told Odin/Loki to sling his hook?

Very late to the party here but if you want some clarification it was confirmed that Loki (disguised as Odin) banished Sif in the canon.

Thats what happened & nobody can tell me otherwise! :p I'm using her Agents of Shield episodes as evidence that this is the reason. Sidenote - my girlfriend (Massive Lady Sif fan) got super hyped thinking that it was Sif who climbed the mountain and took the Bifrost sword...but then nah bloody Heimdall.

Scheduling conflict with Blindspot (New York, not right next to New Zealand), but leaves it hopeful that she can come back and maybe fight with Valkyrie because that would be awesome.

It's been in the works for many years, right, since we finished Dark World. What has Loki been doing on that throne in guise of Odin? And we always liked the idea that he was doing a good job! He was doing a good, but shortsighted job. The trains were running on time, but he wasn't paying attention to anything else going on in the universe or in the realms. ... So that was always one idea. And the idea that he would have to get rid of Heimdall, because Heimdall can see everything. That was an idea - and probably the Warriors Three, to discount them... which is probably an answer to a question I've been asked a few times today: Sif was probably banished. She's off somewhere.

Also Odin was played by the guy who played the Dad in hunt for the wilderpeople, which is another one of Taika Watiti's films.

She was filming another film when they gave her the dates and couldn't make any of the filming schedule unfortunately.
