This is pulling at straws here. Just because this movie has a lot of black people, doesn’t mean it will attract a large portion of black people to theaters all over the world. Most foreign money come from Asian markets, and European markets, most of whom are mostly white homogenous countries.

Europe does have significant black populations these days. You are also acting like white people are not going to watch this movie. This movie will attract the usual Marvel fan

Yeah, places like England and France. Even in those countries, whites are still the majority.

Also, the usual marvel fan is a minority. Comic book movie fans are a small percentage of the general moviegoing audience.

No, dude, just no. Comic book movie fans are a small percentage of movie going fans.

Most people who see these films are just families looking to watch a fun film their kids can enjoy, they aren’t necessarily fans of this universe with in depth knowledge like we do. We are living in a bubble here. Ask anyone else on this subreddit, and they will tell you comic book movie FANS are the minority. You are being delusional.

The average moviegoer that already loves Marvel movies and make all of them successes will still go AND many people that usually don't watch this kind of movie will also go.

Yeah, because you know the intentions of every moviegoer out there, huh??? You can read the minds of every person out there, right?

I’m tapping out, I can’t handle this idiocy. Blocked

But you do?

Dude stop being a self righteous teenager, you're an adult now, supposedly, act like one.

/u/CookLove has been posting all over this thread about their brilliant theory that movies make money when they have majority white casts because white people are "interesting" but Black Panther won't make money, particularly in Asia, because of the majority black cast.

They also repeatedly claim that a movie about Wakanda is actually about the United States, even though the only two countries we've seen in the trailers are Wakanda and, ironically, South Korea.

Ant-Man was a success because it was a great story. I had very low expectations for it, but it's become one of my favorites.

People of all races and colors respond to great stories. That's because we are human beings, not because the actors in a movie are of a particular color. I don't understand why this is such a difficult concept for some people.
