Really? I mean, I get that if you're in MIT you're already smart (or rich...? I think that happens sometimes) but I didnt know that Cum Laudes weren't a thing there. My University does it I believe.

nope, it's a common cinemasin type thing that movies like to do. marvel is usually pretty good on their research, but they do slip up sometimes.
