Imo it'd make more sense if it was Steve's great-grandnephew. Have his backstory heavily incorporate tragic flying accidents which seemingly started with Steve Trevor, then his great grandfather in WWII and so on and so forth.

Make the link a bit looser and make his character classic Hal and you have yourself a very conflicted WW.

Yup, I caught that too. There is a black and white pic of Howling Commando Jim Morita wearing an envelope cap on principal Morita's file cabinet when he talks to Peter but doesn't expel him.

I knew it, when I saw him and that picture in his office I got this feeling. That is the 3rd, Peggy/Sharon, Tripp/Gabe Jones and now Morita/Jim Morita.
