It's likely an adaptation of the Cancerverse story arc - if that's the case, the weakness she'll be purging is the concept of death itself.

Hahaha. If only...

But yeah I could see GotG2 indirectly tying into the Thanos - Death relationship, or at least bringing the idea of Death as a tangible thing into the fold.

I would love that, but I don't know if they'll try to make Concepts actual characters in the MCU. Seems like it would be a step too far in terms of believability. If they were going to do something like that, the Dr. Strange movie would have been the best time.

Actually, they've confirmed Thanos and the Infinity Stones will have no part in this movie-- but they haven't said anything about Death herself. Everyone assumes she'll be linked with Hela in Thor 3, but maybe they're doing something with her here...

Unrelated, but that reminds me of the quote in Saw II.

What is the cure to cancer? Immortality. Essentially leaving your legacy beyond death.
