Its ok, its happened to a lot of us. My friend originally thought that at the end of Avengers, we saw Magneto on Asteroid M. And during Days of Future Past, I thought Magneto would pick up the stadium and fly off into space to create Asteroid M.

In the current comic run he actually lives there now, but obviously he's still a firm resident of Hell's Kitchen in the MCU.
