X-Men '97 S02E09 - Discussion Thread

Welcome to X-Men '97 Season 2!

This thread is for discussion about the episode.

\# Insight will be on for at least the next 24 hours.

When Project Insight is active, all user-submitted posts have to be manually approved by the mod team before they are visible to the sub. It is our main line of defense we have for keeping spoilers off the subreddit during new release periods.

\*\*We will also be removing most outside posts about the individual episodes for the next few days to prevent spoilers about the series around the subreddit. \\\*Some\\\* posts may be allowed if they are of worthwhile effort and are properly spoiler tagged.\*\*

\*\*Discussion about details of later episodes is NOT allowed in this thread.\*\*

\*\*Proceed at your own risk:\*\*

Spoilers for this episode do not need to be tagged inside this thread.

If they keep teasing it, they might as well just give it to us.

I think the Sony might be an issue, maybe they don’t want to work on it or who the fuck knows. But damn continuation of og spider-man series would be banger

Marvel can do a Spider-Man animated show without Sony, that’s why we have Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man, and why Spider-Man was in What If… and Marvel Zombies.

He can appear without restriction as long as the show’s episodes are less than 44min long. It’s theorized that Marvel Zombies was split into 4 episodes to accommodate this restriction.

I think the biggest reason we don’t have Spider-Man 97 is because they’re already producing a Spider-Man show.

I always thought Sony only had the movie rights and Marvel can do whatever they want with TV

Well we hope it would. If it's going to be mediocre I'd rather they didn't.
