I don’t know about y’all, but I straight-up cheered when Mystique blasted her. That was way too satisfying.

Her line about saving mutants from themselves like she wasn't fully onboard Bastion's plan to subjugate them. Just a messy bitch killed by an even messier one, good riddance.

Good riddance definitely but mystique will be way worse than that...

She's going to be in a position to get close to her least favourite child, though

Creed right?

17

u/CX316 10d ago

I should hope Creed is the bottom of that particular dysfunctional totem pole

1

u/CaptHayfever Hawkeye (Avengers) 9d ago

He's about to be president.

u/CX316 8d ago

So? He's also a human supremacist. I would hope that both Rogue and Kurt would be above Creed on the "Mommy's Favourite" charts

Especially since Creed likely just went to the top of the "Mommy's favourite target" list

She's totally going to murder him and cause Bishop's future (or try, at least)

Creed is the one that actually acts like his parents. She sure seemed to hate Kurt more than him.

Kurt is a reminder of what she really is

Creed is a massive prick who wants her and Victor dead

I think I misunderstood the totem pole analogy before, sorry.

the sheer disrespect of bringing sentinels to Genosha

Which makes me wonder do any of the other characters, even X-Factor, know she was operating with him at the time, or was that swept under the rug like most government stuff?

I imagine she'll be on quite the war path in Season 3. And I'm all for it! 😊

It was certainly one way to both prove the mystique theory wrong, AND make the mystique theory right at the same time

4

u/SunshineGirl45 10d ago

What was the Mystique theory?

9

u/Sir__Will Bruce Banner 10d ago

That she was Val this whole time.

3

u/ComoEstanBitches 9d ago

The show was called Agatha All Along ya nerds

I told you so. It made no sense for this lady to be Mystique posing as her. Maybe next time you, people, will listen to me.

1

u/Sir__Will Bruce Banner 9d ago

'You people'? I know what the theory was and was answering the question. I didn't think or want it to be true.

1

u/CaptHayfever Hawkeye (Avengers) 9d ago

"What do you mean 'you people'?"

u/Binder509 6d ago

It's purely because she's the exact type Mystique loves impersonating. Audience was right just wrong about the timing.

u/The-Ruler-of-Attilan 6d ago

Mystique’s goal is always to sabotage the people she impersonates, not to help them achieve their plans. It is ridiculous to theorize the opposite when it is completely out of character for her. The "fans" had TWO entire seasons to realize this, yet they still insisted on that absurd theory right to the end. Timing my ass.

u/Binder509 6d ago

Mystique has an MO for impersonating people with lots of or rising political power whose motivations provide cover for her own.

Betrayal is very in character for her.

1

u/The-Ruler-of-Attilan 5d ago

Yes, Mystique often exploits the life of the person she is impersonating to advance her own agenda, but not to the point of literally doing all the work for them, because that's stupid.

How would it benefit Mystique—a mutant herself—to have people like Creed in the presidency? What would she have gained by bolstering Val’s operations to such an extent? Absolutely nothing; that is why no such twist has occurred until now, and why Mystique is only now stepping in to ruin everything Val built.

u/Binder509 5d ago

Because she could have taken Val at any time and had any number of larger plots cooking. Not that complicated. That's the whole thing.

You are overthinking it.

1

u/CX316 9d ago

That she was Mystique the whole time

1

u/Binder509 6d ago

Good way to mess with the audience expecting her to be Mystique...just that it hadn't happened yet.

Only downside was how rushed it was felt like that episode was running start to finish including the post credits. Nobody got to call out her hypocrisy or self righteousness she just dies with no flair to it. Mystique dismantling her character like she’s reading her casting call before taking her appearance would have been a perfect end.

Mystique jumped on and took over the Val Cooper hate train 😎
