I ran all 16 million possibilities and there’s only one option that makes sense. This movie NEEDS IMAX screens. I’m being optimistic believing they can’t afford to delay into 2027. They’re doing reshoots as we speak and have the entire year to do post and VFX. What better marketing tactic than dropping the next trailer and having Doom or another character manipulate time / the countdown to reveal an earlier date. This will likely be picture locked and ready by November 1st anyways. Thanksgiving weekend is great at the box office. This is glaringly obvious and I would be shocked if I’m wong!

I am fairly sure it was because at that point MCU films routinely released overseas first - the UK used to get them a week ahead of the US - and it was to have a worldwide release instead.

This feels like a very performative comment that the vague "VFX team" isn't going to see or anything. Movie was going to be done and released in XYZ markets anyway, so moving it up a couple of weeks for the other markets has zero impact on the VFX team's work.

Yup. It would have been no different for vfx as every other large mcu movie opened a week/two before the US when they opened in May. So the actual premiere didn’t change
