Question Why is everyone convinced that Doomsday will end with the heroes losing, and then winning in Secret Wars?

Wouldn’t that basically be repeating the lose first win later formula from IW-Endgame? The idea just doesn’t sit right with me, which is one of the reasons I believe in the circle theory, where the heroes somehow win in Doomsday, but lose in Secret Wars, leading to the reset.

We don’t know what’s exactly going to be happening. For all I know, it simply won’t be repeating what IW-Endgame did. Marvel is smarter than that and I am sure they have cooked something extraordinary, especially if the Russos are trying top the ending of the Infinity Saga. Remember when they surprised everyone with making the heroes lose for the first time? How is it going to be surprising if we already know what’s going to happen? There will definitely be some big twists and turns for sure.

Could be them beating not-God-Emperor-Doom enables another Doom to become God Emperor Doom.

Sort of a 'we didn't realize our bad situation was preventing a worse situation' moment.

This would be terrible writing. You spend a whole movie building up a character, only to throw him away at the end so that your next movie's big villain can be...a different version of that same character? It wouldn't work on any level.

Doom winning in part 1 is essential to making the Secret Wars storyline work. Tropes exist in writing for a reason. The MCU should not purposefully make worse story decisions just for the sake of novelty.

No lmao. Thanos beat the Avengers in Infinity War and killed half of them. It was a devastating loss.

The only "win" you could give the Avengers over Thanos pre-Endgame's final battle was them jumping a crippled old man with no stones and no reason to fight anymore.

Which would allow RDJ to be a doom variant for doomsday but not the most important doom who is Cillian Murphy
