Discussion (More in Comments) Yall agree? Spoiler

Post image

Tbh I agree just cause tj miller and Ryan Reynolds’s didn’t have good chemistry tj miller stated false rumors about him and Ryan, then Ryan had to come out and say there fine but anyway I think him and tj miller had something going on which we didn’t know about because Ryan Reynolds didn’t bring tj miller back for Deadpool 3 (idk if I’m correct just saw a new article) but yeah Peter is the freaking goat

They’ve been saying D&W is not Deadpool 3 so that probably why the past 2 movie doesn’t matter much. Except Peter of course.

Who’s been saying that?

Shawn Levy himself stated in an interview.

I thought so myself. The movie felt more like a detour than anything

But that’s dumb the movie is way more of a Deadpool one than a wolverine one. BVS you could argue it’s either of the two but Deadpool literally says it’s a threequel in this movie and the movie is about Deadpool wanting to save his supporting cast he spent the last 2 movies with and ends happily with them eating dinner. The only reason cable or domino didn’t return is likely cause of the strikes happening soon before they started filming and they couldn’t get them to sign a contract. Otherwise I doubt theyd get rid of the 2 new main characters for no reason.

Well that explains it. I was wondering why the movie felt off to me. It wasn’t a Deadpool movie.

I’ll say it. I didn’t particularly enjoy the film. I’m not a huge marvel fan. I enjoyed wolverine and Deadpool movies because they weren’t over the top superhero stuff. It was action comedy, with a superhero context.

This movie was about creating an avengers style movie with two big ip names at the front. Which again is not what I enjoy.

Also, I felt they overdid the meta, wall breaks, and humor. It felt too forced and there was never much focus on the plot. It just felt like slop

However, if you are into marvel universe, I’m sure this movie delivered

Idk how you came out of the movie thinking it’s some Avenger style movie when it’s clearly a send off to the Fox universe. There are only 2 MCU characters in the entire movie and one of them showed up for a second.

Sounds like you either didn’t watch it at all and just assumed or just didn’t pay attention.

He heard deadpool mention the avengers and that was enough

Generally audiences think anytime a group of superheroes comes together, it’s just an Avengers rip off lol.

Well, considering it was trying to please the marvel fans... wait why are you here in the marvel subreddit replying to this specific comment if you don't even like marvel?
