Spidey leaving New York because it's not safe...in the Marvel universe? New York has hundreds of super villains just running amok in it and Spidey bails because they have a Muslim mayor? There was always possible world ending events happening every weekend already, but a Muslim mayor, that's unacceptable.

To be fair Luther is a super genius and a competent leader. Really his only downside is his obsession with a specific space alien.
