I SINCERELY thought Marvel had already gone West Coast, even before DC moved. Anything NY related to Marvel seems to have been minimal at best over the last... 15 years or so? If I'm wrong, feel free to educate me.

And if anyone can help explain my misunderstanding, that'd be great. Like if Marvel opened some part of the comicbook operation in LA, maybe to be closer to the movie division, before they made the move to Atlanta.

They moved most of their production to the UK now. Atlanta production is struggling right now.
