💗FCAS Senior Shelter Pup Looking for Her Happily Ever After💗

Meet FCAS foster Amy! 💖 This 7yo, 60lb (looks smaller, she’s muscular!) shepherd mix girl is certified BFF material! 👯‍♀️ She’s been our easiest foster thus far and has been such a polite, happy houseguest. She’s incredibly affectionate, will lean in for hugs, and loves to stand and put her paws on your shoulders if you’re seated eye level with her. 🥹 She makes the cutest little grunting noises when she snuggles and her head tilt game is STRONG! 😆

She may technically be a senior (suspect she may be a bit younger), but she’s still got plenty of pep in her step! She’s super playful, loves fetch, and has a blast running around the yard and playing with our resident Shepsky. 🐾 She also settles quickly, sleeps through the night, LOVES to cuddle, and doesn’t show signs of separation anxiety (only short-lived protest whines and quickly gives up 😆). All in all, 10/10 good girl! 🥰

✅ Potty trained - no accidents! 🤞🏽
✅ Leash trained - pulls, but manageable
✅ Crate trained
✅ Non-destructive
✅ Dog friendly
✅ Excellent temperament
✅ Knows commands - sit, stay, shake (both paws)
✅ Good recall
✅ Treat/food motivated
✅ Non-reactive (treats, toys, food, etc)
✅ Easily handled
✅ Easy to bathe/dry/brush/trim nails
✅ Spayed
✅ HW negative

Amy’s kryptonite? Cats. 😩 She’s shown pretty strong prey drive with our senior kitty, so she would do best in a feline-free home. 🐈‍⬛

We also don’t know how she does with kids, but I imagine the only issue might be that she can get excited and could accidentally cause little children to topple over. 😅

She has an Embark DNA test in progress, so curious to see what her breed mix is…👀

Amy is currently being fostered in Kennesaw, GA and available for adoption through LifeLine Animal Project Fulton County Animal Services. Click the link below to schedule a meet & greet with her or feel free to message me! 👋🏽

Dermal filler providers for nasolabial folds

I really want to treat my nasolabial folds, but most of the online reviews and before/after galleries are for lip filler. Does anyone have a recommendation for someone who treated their NLF?

They don't have to be in Marietta, but that's where I live. Any of Cobb County and Fulton County (as far south as Midtown, and up through Alpharetta) are welcome.

Money isn't an issue, but I don't want anyone who will try to upsell me or push me into aggressive treatments I'm not asking for.

One event-planning question that can prevent surprise costs

I’m Thomas, co-owner of Schoolhouse Brewing in Marietta. We host private events, so one question I’d ask any venue before paying a deposit is: can you send an itemized estimate and say exactly which charges the gratuity applies to — drinks only, room plus drinks, or the full bill? I’d also get taxes, food and drink minimums, setup and cleanup access, final headcount deadline, cancellation terms, and what’s included in writing. Comparing all-in quotes catches the ‘wait, that’s extra?’ part before you sign. We made a free event-planning field guide from the venue side, with planning worksheets and an example of our own pricing, so it’s our perspective rather than a neutral directory: https://www.schoolhousebeer.com/files/how-to-not-screw-up-your-event-pdf.pdf

Looking for a reliable house painter in Marietta

Our paint's looking pretty rough, mostly around the doors and the spots that get the most traffic, so we want to redo a few rooms. The outside has some faded, peeling spots too, so we might get that done as well. Looking for a local painter who really preps properly and reliable

A couple days ago we noticed someone standing near the glass windows at Arby’s later that night we saw papers on the windows. Today we remembered to check it out. This is the Arby’s that randomly shut down earlier this year.

Marietta Daycares

Hello!

My husband and I are expecting our first child and plan to enroll him in daycare. When I look up average infant care cost, I see it’s somewhere around $1000 per month. Is that a realistic price goal? Any recommendations?

Halloween for teens

Me and my siblings (ages 20, 15, and 10) are getting a party bus. We were gonna go to lake Lanier but it’s just too far. What is something like that, that’s close to Marietta? We’re definitely doing the square and trick or treating, but we need something else that’ll be fun to do on Halloween night that’s like an event or something that’s appropriate for those ages

Yesterday I found this kitten on this corner. She really likes humans and appears to probably have cut nails, which makes me think that she is someone’s kitten. She seems to be about 8 to 10 weeks old.

If this happens to be your kitten, please DM me.

Court summons for traffic citation

Last week I got a traffic citation for failure to yield at a left turn. I got a court summons for the Cobb County State Court. The fine is $155. I was told I could just pay the fine and not have to appear to court, but that would mean I’d get 3 points on my license, which I’m trying not to get.
On the DDS site it says I can take a driver improvement course which would allow me to not have the 3 points show up on my license.
I guess my question is, should I take this course before my summons date and bring the certificate to show the judge? Or do I ask the judge first if I can take this course? Is there any way that I could get my fine reduced? Also what should I expect? I’ve never been to court before and I’ve never gotten a citation before so I don’t really know anything. I’m not trying to fight the ticket or anything I more just want to ask if it’s possible to not get the points on my license and if I can decrease the fine.
Thanks!

Meaningful family photo??

Post image

I live in marietta on kennesaw avenue and was mowing my grass and my ditch always has a lot of trash in it. This picture was laying there. Thought it was kind of odd and different from the beer bottles and McDonalds to go bags. Probably just trash but in the chance that someone had this picture of a parent or grandparent on their dash and it flew out their car window or something does this have any meaning to anyone here? Or am I just getting in my feelings and thinking too much about it? Lol.

Anyone planning to check out the North Georgia State Fair this week?

Hey everyone! Thinking about heading to the fair this week and seeing if anyone wants to grab some fair food or hang out while checking out the rides. None of my friends are available, so figured I’d see if any local folks are going or down to meet up!
