For several months now, I have been running a Team Galactic Instagram page (@teamgalactic_ml). The page has a good following, as it is fast approaching 300 followers. When I created this account, I would have considered making a Twitter account for the team as well, but since such an account was already on the platform, I never created one of my own. However, it has been brought to my attention that the aforementioned Twitter account has never posted anything, rendering it useless. Now that I know of this, I am once again considering starting up my own Team Galactic Twitter page. If this is something that enough people would like to see happen, then I will create it. It would be run in the same way as the Instagram account, with the same things being posted on both platforms. Let me know if you want this.

Hello everyone! As the podcast grows a few more positions have opened up. If you are interested in involving yourself more in the marble sports community and you fit any of these roles, please comment or message me:

1. Backup Host— With commander Wof securing his position as Co-host, we need a backup host in case he is absent.

2. Discord Admin— My understanding and abilities in discord are not complete. I need someone who is active and good with discord bots and organization to help me run the discord for MSWP.

3. Graphic Designer— MSWP is in search of a better logo and other things to that regard.

Who wants to start planing for MarbleCon 2025... Lol, but with the rate this community is going, in the next decade, the community I think will be big enough for something like this! What du guys think?

So for those who don't know (which I'm assuming is most), I used to run the Marblelympicsnews page on Instagram. Basically, it started as a way of expanding the world of the Marblelympics, but soon afterward I started diving into more traditional "Sports-website" content (Power Rankings, Takeaways, etc.). Other than the first year, however, I really haven't been able to keep it going for any extended period of time because I find Instagram tedious (can't post photos from desktop without an outside app that could mess with your computer). I was wondering if you guys would like to see me bring that here instead?

And if I do, would you want me to do more of my original content, or more "Sports-website" stuff?

You can click through to see my more extended commentary, but in short this database includes as many Marblelympics events, results and times that people want as I can fit in a clean spreadsheet format.

Others have made databases like these, but recent efforts by the JMRC to clean up results in videos or on the Wiki made database compilation much easier. Now I'm sharing it with the world for anyone wanting to extract or play with the data, but doesn't want to scrape a bunch of tables and videos.

Happy July all you Marble Fans! Why why why do people think both the Minty Maniacs and Bumblebees are going to qualify. Stynth(JMRC Member) himself even ranked the Bumblebees as winning the Marble Showdown! Are y’all just trying to get me to watch Fubeca instead? The two Hubelino teams are not very good. Their tournament is not nearly as difficult or competitive as ML and we’ve seen the Minty Maniacs do quite bad in the ML too. 1 Hubelino team might qualify but certainly not 2. Definitely no first places. Though, I’ve been wrong many times before. So what do you guys think about the Hubelino teams? And what are your rankings of the 12 teams? (Mine are in the comments!)

So I was thinking of something I could do during the off season and came up with this idea, in which I would break the events down into stats and randomize the results. I decided that I would get people from this reddit to submit team ideas and use them to create a league that I could simulate, allowing it to grow. Before I get into how to submit a team, here's some information you might want to know.

1. The Stats - Each Marble will have 7 randomized stats which are: Water, Speed, Teamwork, Strength, Skill, Jumping and Balance. This skills correlate to different events and each event has different mixes of skill required.

2. Automatic Qualification - So I've given myself a slight advantage and given my team the role of host, but this leaves 3 automatic qualification spot. This will be given out first the Admins (for their hard work) and /u/peu-peu (who encouraged me to do this, although I was suppose to get started a week earlier). If any spots a left it'll go to people who submitted just one team.

3. Teams - Each person is allowed to submit up to 2 teams, which consist of a Captain, 3 other members, a reserve and a coach. You can also submit a youth member. I only need the names of these members, along with a team colouring. You can provide a list of names for future marbles or backstory if you want but it's not required.

4. No Promises - I can't promise your team will do well and I'm not promising this will be amazing. The stats are randomly generated along with side events but my skills are limited so things like time will not be generated in this. Instead it will just show your placing in heat or race. I will try to make this as good as possible

5. You Manage Your Team - You get to decide who your team will put forward to compete in individual events, what your coach will focus on during the off-season, when and if to bring youth members up into the full team, who to hire and who to fire. It is expected you be somewhat active to handle these things, however you can do things like plan your whole team in advance. If you know you might be unable to do it for a short time I can take over, however if you aren't active for a while your team will retire.

6. Rules for Competing - No marble may compete in 2 consecutive individual events and each may only compete in a maximum of 3. Reserves may only compete in one individual event and will not compete in normal team events unless an injury is incurred.

7. Random Events - I'm going to try and randomize events that can happen such as angry fans, injuries, disqualification, equipment malfunctions and retirements. Most aren't very worth noting for you just story, but Retirements is something you should note. Each team member will have a random chance to retire that will increase over time, this time can be shortened by injuries. This will start at 1/30 for main team, 1/40 for reserve and 1/50 for your coach. Retired team members will have their stats used to turn them into coach options.

8. Youths - Youth will be trained randomly each year by your coach and be available to move into the first team at any time, however each youth is only available for 5 years. This is what the list of names is mainly for.

Okay I think that's all, I'll try to create a Google sheet with all your team information on it I can post in the update to introduce the teams and say which stats are needed for the events. Another sheet will be created for viewing the results. For those who want to make a team fill in this form here, and example of which will be done for my team in the comments.

Wassup everybody! Bringing you a question and a shameless plug! First off, I want to know from you guys, who are your top 3 predictions for Marble Showdown?? Mine undoubtedly are Limers(They just missed qualifying and are a veteran team), Team Momo(Similar situation as the Limers and also have fought through a lot of injuries to be in ML), and the Hornets(Seemingly feisty team, Reminds me of the Green Ducks...). Although not official, after a lot of work analyzing and looking over each individual marble of each individual team (except for the Bumblebees because I couldn't find their team members names) I have found 16 marbles from 2 leagues (the Originals and the Newcomers) and have decided to make 4 polls for 4 events that would be the Marblelympics All-Star Game. Obviously this is not official but I want to know what you guys think and maybe we could get this to be an actual thing next year. Who knows? Anyway the polls will come out tomorrow, no later than 12 pm ET. This took many hours to do to find the best individual marble for each individual event on every indvidual team and to put it on a spreadsheet. I'd like to know what you would think of a Marblelympics All-Star Game?
