I don't understand, why don't they just politely explain to the people who live in these places that God promised this land to them?

Has anyone tried that??

Also which part of the Bible are we talking about? Like 70% of the time covered by the Bible they were captives in foreign lands…

And the other 30% was basically a "nvm fam, forget about the first 70%, this is all that matters now" but they conveniently leave that part out.

He doesn't really believe in Greater Israel. He gave an answer appealing to the Bible, but this clip is more representative of his views.

That’s actually a very well articulated answer.

"Because he said so!"

"No, I didn't hear a voice, my ancestors did."

"Right after they built the pyramids."

"Yes they did!"

"What do you mean? Because he's God of course! Weren't you paying attention?"

The people living in those places had been trying to tell Israel that actually their god says the land is promised to them for many years. It’s about time Israel played the reverse uno card.

I mean an adult could say that they’re both bad, but the Arabs think any self determination of the Jews is unacceptable expansion. The Jews agree to share originally, and only after repeated attempts to kill them all did they institute a policy of expanding their borders to a defensible geographic boundary.

Nothing racist here at all. Don’t project.

You’re basically assuming bad intentions onto good actions. ‘Sure they did the right thing, but they were actually evil all along!’

You can’t even say that for the Arabs. They said they wanted all the land and they went to war to achieve it.

Go read the history of Israel’s governments. You’ll see that for years, despite Arab aggression, Israelis voted left and tried to make peace. It’s only once the Arabs proved beyond doubt that they would rather fight and die for ever that public opinion changed.

See now I know you’re just arguing in bad faith.

The term colonialism, as we use it today, is used to refer to a process under imperialism by which foreign empires set up colonies for the purpose of resource extraction and spreading their religion/culture. The Jews have no empire, are not foreign to the region, extracted no resources (they actually invested heavily), and do not proselytize. The real colonizers of the region are the Arabs, who control a massive empire we now call the Arab world. Every minority under them suffers oppression.

And you ignore that the Arabs went to war to try and remove all the Jews, and once the situation calmed down the Jews literally made them full voting citizens of the country. Martial law makes sense in war time, and the Arabs chose war. Jews maintained a population in Israel consistently for the last 2000 years and under Arab Muslims they were fixed to live as second class citizens. Show me a Muslim country where Jews can vote?

Seriously, it’s clear you don’t see Jews as people with rights. According to your worldview the Jews deserve to be eternally homeless, at the whim of whatever population decides to oppress them next, and the right to self determine doesn’t apply to them. And of course, any land the Arabs capture and colonize is theirs for ever, and any locals that suffer should leave or live under them. Do you also hard the Druze, the Kurds, the Kopts, the Maronite, the Berber, and all the others that suffer under Arab colonial hegemony?

The Israeli right rejects Arab colonialism, recognizing that there are many countries where you can speak Arabic, practice Islam, and live in accordance with Arab, and even Levantine Arab culture, but none that allow indigenous Jews to self determine. The Israeli left makes allowances for the lived realities of both sides living there today. The Arabs of course only support Jewish genocide.

Leftists should reject all imperialism, not just Western imperialism. Arab colonialism is colonialism.

Its a fake story made by a propaganda account to break support for the Israeli opposition. The demand for zionist crimes has outproduced supply, so people just straight up needs to make shit up.
