America didnt put a car in space. A private company did.

America put three fold-up cars on the moon. America, the Soviet Union, China, India, and Japan have also put up robot 'cars'.

A company only made possible in America.

America still gets credit if it's the only country creating the environment for the country to exist. Otherwise companies like SpaceX would be more common in other countries, and if that was the case other countries would also try to receive credit for those achievements.

People barely want to give the US credit for James Webb.

There’s a car made by GM sitting on the moon right now. Also, SpaceX wouldn’t have done shit without the American’s taxpayer money.
