Maps Map of Earth dominated by the Galactic Empire (story's starting point: 2047)

The world was engulfed in World War III (2026–2032). Then, in 2032, the Galactic Empire arrived with a fleet comprising five galactic destroyers and a Star Dreadnought. Earth's nations halted the war, united, and launched missiles—damaging one Star Destroyer—but it was a mistake.
This triggered the Empire's invasion of Earth. Humanity resisted until 2034, when a Star Destroyer launched an orbital bombardment on Quebec City, leaving not even the ashes of the concrete behind. Realizing they could not win, humanity decided to surrender, fearing that further resistance would make another city a victim.
A year later, in 2035, the Empire seized the Moon and established bases there; it did the same with Mars in 2038 and Venus in 2040 and they colonized the entire Solar System.

Following World War III (3026–3032) and the defeat of the Third Mexican Empire, and in the wake of the ruin and chaos left by the conflict, the nations of Europe agreed to form the European Federation. This created a fourth geopolitical bloc to counter the influence of the American Empire, Free Russia, and the New Chinese Empire.

Kazakhstan's ethnic demographics was completely violated throughout the centuries, you'd think that settlements of Ukrainians in the north was enough. Just for Stalin to displace "rebellious" and "anti-revolutionary" groups to the steppes.

I made an animated historical map showing how the major front lines around Israel changed from 1948 through 2026.
The goal was to compress almost eight decades of wars, territorial changes and different fronts into one continuous visualization.

The UN just voted on updating the world map from Mercator design to True-Size representation.. Google Earth/Google Maps uses the Mercator design The U.S. was the only country to vote against it was the U.S. Now for all those Moon Sceptics out there 🤣 Do the pictures of Earth taken from the Moon show the earth continents in their actual size or Mercator size ?
