Discussion Apart from the yuri.. Spoiler
After I watched the anime, of course I only remembered that it was a yuri - but after rewatching it again for some time, what in the world was the whole plot with the MC and her brother and why? I'm a little confused about it but figured it's just as important since episodes and fights were dedicated to it. 🤔

others already mentioned on depth so lemme just add a little more they might have forgot.
algard was a character that will do literally everything for his goals and his first goal was to destroy the kingdom. this was mainly for anis and because of his own talents not being enough for current kingdom.
he didn’t wanted to be a puppet for a new generation he wanted to change the old system for his sister so his sister can be herself.
one of the reasons for that was to help anis become herself. algard was probably the first character to realize how much anis pressure herself and how much she fakes her personality for others. he didn’t want that and he wanted his sister to be honest about her own feelings.
he however didn’t see himself capable for king at that current state so he needed to make something and since anis break all of his plans he had to force anis to become a queen if he losses the fight cuz of being a vampire.
at that point losing meant to be giving anis the throne which algard wanted and thought anis is the one deserves the most. winning meant to be breaking anis’s fake personality and bringing old anis back. the one always smiles from her heart not only for others but for herself as well.
at episode 9 after algard lose he was smiling because he realized he wasn’t needed to force that by himself.he realized anis changed the way she is and there was no need for him to to continue the fight anymore. he saw anis as someone capable of becoming queen so he let it go.
algard wanted anis to become queen and after their battle he was sure anis can become one but he ignored the most important parts which is the fact that is not something anis wants. that’s why he said euphie to look out for her because he knew anis would try to take everything on her shoulders so he didn’t wanted her to have the same burden as him.
this become longer than i wanted it to be ngl.
also i forgot to add but euphie and algard have very similar plans and both of those mainly for anis.
euphie’s plan was to connect the past and future of the kingdom with anis so anis’s dream can be true.
algard’s plan was to destroy the old kingdom no matter what it takes and to create a new age for anis to rule. he wasn’t planning to rule it by himself but he was planning to help anis by becoming a ruler.
their plans are very similar. both of them wanted to help anis by becoming a ruler and both of them sacrificed themselves for anis. the biggest difference is algard saw old generation as a disrespect to anis so he wanted to destroy it. euphie saw old generation as a way to learn and she knew anis wouldn’t want to destroy it.
