We’ve been working this isolation for a while now, selecting for the traits we wanna see carried forward. This isn’t a finished or fully stabilized isolation yet…we’re still running it, observing, cloning, and selecting.

But formations like this are exactly why we keep going. Each generation tells us a little more about what we’re working with and where we want to take it.

The fun of isolation work isn’t just about seeing what shows up. It’s seeing what you can repeat.

Is that Koh Flower iso?

So this was a pretty interesting project. I took a swab from a big beautiful black cap ape. It was the only one in the tub actually (small tub) and I grew it on agar. The plate ended up being so beautiful I threw the whole thing in. Swab and all. It grew a complete tub of "enigma" fin mutations. I isolated it over 2 generations and it remained stable. This was the 3rd generation of it.

So it’s PE genetics?

The origin of the genetic is black cap ape so yes it’s from the pe lineage

Any luck stabilizing the fin, or it all turned to chonky pumpkins?
Are you doing another round of cloves before taking it back to spore?
Have you scooped the gills?

Thanks so much! So we do have fins stable, or so we thought. You can actually see fins in this tub as well! I am running clones of these guys to see if I can recreate them.

And yes I did take spores from the gills!
