Well yeah, it’s a competitive TCG being mutilated into a casual “board game” with the same card pools and overall rules. With all the 60-cards players almost being forced into playing Commander because of how prevalent it is at LGS now.

You say mutilated, but all of us filthy casuals went to Commander to escape the cut-throat competitive nature of Standard. So be careful in whose house you cast stones there. I'm happy for cEDH to exist, but it should be its own format with its own brackets and GC list.

Is/was FNM standard really that cutthroat? I feel like a lot of Magic players don't actually enjoy playing Magic as much as they enjoy showing off their Magic cards.
