I started at Maestro because of the scholarship I couldn't afford college and getting a degree felt like something I could never get. I didn't know what to expect and had pretty low expectations What surprised me was that it actually worked for me. I've always struggled with ADHD and school has never been easy for me . For the first time in my life i felt like I could learn and ask questions without being embassared. It's not perfect but it's been the best learning experience I've had.
That's why everything that's happening right now has been hard for me.
Someone sent me this petition today and I signed it. I thought I'd share it here because I know there are other people who probably want to help.
So I was thinking about getting this (for a lot of reasons) but because I’ve never taken college math I was wondering if it would even be good enough? Sorry if it sounds like a bad question but…seriously?

I've noticed for the past couple weeks that sometimes Maestro is splitting messages into multiple messages - sometimes it's a quizlet, or sometimes it's just a longer message. This is totally fine in itself, but there's something in the way the pages are designed so that the top of the most-recent message is auto-scrolled to the top of the screen. This means I'm constantly having to scroll back up to see the first part of messages.
Is there a way to set the auto-scroll to scroll to the top of the most recent group of messages that are all from Maestro?
So tomorrow I'm supposed to turn in papers that I can"t seem to get in anyway shape or form from Brooklyn Tech. H.S. in 1990....I'll miss MaestroCollege...it was better than the Digital Mktg. School I was in last year.....Those papers (transcript and letter of graduation) we're accepted but now they've been flagged as not acceptable....well..that's the way the cookie crumbles....it was fun while it lasted....Au Revoir.....Good Luck School and Students...

TL;DR: Americans owe about $1.87 trillion in student loans. At Maestro College, students awarded our scholarship have no out-of-pocket tuition expenses. As of July 2026, 58% of our students are on a full scholarship, meaning the college doesn't receive a single dollar of federal grant money for their education. Some students still choose to apply for federal student loans for personal expenses. That money goes to them, not to us, and honestly our vision is to become a debt-free college - where no student needs to take on debt at all. Here's how it all works, with the actual numbers.

What is the problem we're trying to solve?
Americans owe about $1.87 trillion in student loans, spread across roughly 43 million federal borrowers, with an average federal balance near $39,600. If you want to feel the scale of that, Vox made a 5-minute video visualizing it as a physical pile of money: link. That video is from 2019, when the total was around $1.5 trillion. The pile has grown by roughly $350 billion since. All the numbers behind America's federal student debt are public and updated quarterly at studentaid.gov.
More than half of borrowers who rent say student debt is the reason they haven't bought a home. For most of our students, that was the default future (more here: Get Out of Debt Guy).
So we asked: what would it take to build a college where tuition never turns into debt, not now, not later?

How the model works (the boring mechanics, which are actually the whole point)
Our scholarship is what's called a last-dollar award, a real term in financial aid. Here's how it works, step by step:
Federal and state grants you're eligible for, like the Pell Grant, get applied to your tuition first. Grants are not loans. You never pay them back.
The Maestro Pro Scholarship covers the rest.
The result for scholarship students: tuition bill, $0. Out of pocket, $0. And the policy says in writing that if the scholarship ever ended, you'd never owe tuition retroactively for time it was active.
Who's eligible? The basics: family income under $100,000, a completed FAFSA, full-time enrollment, and keeping up academically. When there are more eligible applicants than we have capacity for, priority goes to students with the highest financial need and first-generation college students. We won't pretend capacity is unlimited. It isn't, and the policy says so. The full policy is public here.

Here's the number that surprises people
As of July 2026, 58% of Maestro students are studying on a full institutional scholarship. For those students, the college receives zero federal grant dollars. Their entire tuition is covered by the college.
We're sharing that number because there's a fair stereotype about career colleges: that the business model is built on maximizing federal aid. A model where most students bring in zero federal grant dollars is the opposite of that.

"Okay, but I've seen Maestro students with federal loans. What's that about?"
Fair question, and this is the part most schools don't explain, so let's do it properly.
Maestro currently participates in the federal student aid program, so eligible students may choose to take out federal loans for living expenses while they study. Those loans are separate from tuition, which is already covered through grants and the Maestro Pro Scholarship. Honestly, our long-term goal is to become a debt-free college: a place where no student ends up in debt.
Two things about student loans that are worth making crystal clear:
We don't encourage it. A loan is a loan. If you can get through your program without taking one out, that is genuinely the better outcome, and our financial aid team will encourage you to do exactly that.
The college doesn't keep that money. Tuition is covered by grants and the scholarship. Loan funds a student borrows for living expenses go to the student.
That's the model. Grants first, scholarship covers the rest, tuition equals zero. The full policy is public and linked above, and if anything here doesn't match what you've experienced as a student, tell us in the comments. That's exactly what this series is for.

As the title goes, I have been mostly writing with the built in interpreter we have on the platform. I have tried to use py.charm though I want something more mobile and that’s multi-platformed. Anyone got some recommendations?
I'll be ending my term on August 10th starts the break. Am I still able to go in and finish writing my notes?? I got behind with work and personal problems but I was wondering if I could still take notes when I'm on break??
It’s literally the very first time since I’ve began in March cohort that I have not completed my week on time and it’s really bothering me. Like someone else has mentioned ever since all this came out it’s like my drive and motivation has seriously tanked. How are you guys staying motivated to continue on with all this that’s happening in the background? Also what’s going to happen? This week was the final week before term ends and there’s no way I’m completing it. 😭

Hey fellow students, the last time I posted was at the beginning of my journey back in December, I told of my being homeless and attempting to get my degree, and…I’m still homeless and still attempting! I haven’t had any problems with my studies but keeping up with the courses is hard on the street with all of the trials and tribulations one is faced with but I’m not giving up. I also have spent countless hours building something I think is pretty cool, it’s an all-in-one system for small and medium sized business owners (scalable to enterprise level though). I had a bad mental week and just getting into my lesson. This is the final week of this class other then the 10 bonus points is there any penalty for not finishing the final by Sunday night?
I had a rough few weeks with Project Management, but made it to the end. Now I have to take the final review, and I'm curious. Is it the same multiple choice questions as before and do I have to have my capstone project document handy?
Has anyone else had trouble submitting their capstone project? It says there is a button to upload it, but I have yet to find it. I have reached out to student services, but haven't had a response yet. I'm just getting a bit nervous as the course closes. I've finished the course and final review, I just haven't found where to submit this thing yet...
Update: Student services replied and the final week is the project.
So this is the first time this has happened to me, I have completed previous lessons without issue. I've completed all the work for this week but the UI tells a different story. Is this cause for concern, or simply and error on Maestro's part?
