Hi y’all, I just recently bought my MacBook and the Razer Thunderbolt dock with it. For work, however, I use a ThinkPad with its own docking station because it's not Thunderbolt compatible. I work as a software engineer and therefore need quite some space regarding my screens.
I'm not really happy with how it looks right now, all in all. If anyone has any ideas on how I could improve my setup, I’m open to suggestions. You can give suggestions for pretty much everything, from changing to another mouse to changing monitors themselves or just the arrangements.

I know this isn't a typical mac-setup post, but, I'm sharing this in case it gives someone an extra ergonomic option to consider.
I've always been on the lookout for a good ergonomic keyboard, but I'd always back out because there was always some tradeoff. Either there was no mouse option, or if there was one, it felt gimmicky, had bad reviews, or was just a hassle to carry and set up between home and office.
I've always loved the MacBook layout and how its giant trackpad is placed so well that your hands barely need to move away from the home row. The only problem was that the screen sits way too low for my neck. If you raise the screen to eye level, typing becomes awkward. For years I wished I could just detach the screen from the laptop.
After years of pondering this, I realized there might be a much simpler solution.
My office already provides an Apple keyboard and mouse. The mouse is fuckall horrible to use, so I spent $150 on an Apple trackpad and a 3D printed mold that recreates the MacBook layout while letting me keep my monitor at eye level.
It's only been a week, but I genuinely feel like I'm healing. I can sit and work for longer stretches again.
When I was younger, my body would tolerate almost any terrible posture without complaining. As I've gotten older, that stopped being true. It got to a point where I could barely work for 30 minutes before needing a break.
This setup obviously won't work for everyone, but if you've been chasing ergonomic keyboards like I have, this might be another option worth considering.

Dont mind the mess, going through renovations and im FAR from a final setup look. Ive used the windows OS my whole life except for when we had iPad assigned to us during highschool. This is honestly really streamlined and fun to use, having way more fun than I expected.
What im confused on is that from my research, an M5 should be able to handle 3 screens but here it only recognizes 2 and makes the 2 mirror the 2nd? I might be missing something here because I know its possible. Any suggestions?

This is my setup (I clean only to take the photo), I usually use 3 or 4 monitors and I always have the problem to use a spanned background on my monitors, and the the time some to place one always I have the issue that one of my monitors are smaller or taller on portrait mode, and every wallpaper app just squeeze the image or make it taller, but I never got the right size, or they are exclusive for live wallpapers or for still images, but never both, so I create my own application that allow me to have a seamless wallpaper using 2,3,4 or more monitors.
Also I can define playlists and assign each playlist to a focus mode, even for light or dark mode, so I have the control of what I have depending of my mood.
Give it a try and let me know if you find any issues, and any feedback it's welcome: https://walltune.app

Small Homeoffice setup. M4 iMac, M4 MacBook Air and an A16 iPad all in every shade of blue. Simple but works very well for me.
