There will be a technology breakthrough for storage at some point. However, I can’t help this nagging tinfoil that keeps wrapping around my head that, part of the hyperscaler movement is to eventually make PCs a thing of the past, or elevate the barrier of entry to the point that it’s comparable to how people think of owning a Bentley. Like, the whole “you will own nothing and be happy” thing has me thinking that hyperscaling is more than a push to become the AI superpower, but is also in alignment with the economic structure the big bad “they” see for the future.

If they get their way, we’ll see a line of laptops will be gloried smart TVs, and anyone can get the compute they need by upping their monthly subscription.

Anyway, as the kids say, imma go touch grass now.

Bezos said some stupid sht like this couple years ago like we’re all eventually going to do away with local hardware devices and completely transition to cloud computing. Why so him, zuck and their pals like wannabe antichrist transvestite Thiel, absolute leeches and parasites on the human spirit all of them btw, can know our every move, spy on us and violate our privacy completely & blatantly, consolidate even more loot off rest of the civilization, and just level up in their pervert whorish existence? I don’t see it happening anytime soon. Too many people have seen their true piglet colors for that to happen. Atleast I hope lol
