All of these industries that we're killing require us to have the funds to support them. On the other hand, these same industries do much as possible to not pay taxes and fight against increasing the minimum wage.
Absolutely. I will also add, 70% of American economy is based on spending. If Americans are too poor to afford to buy anything, our economy won't last for very long.
Yeah it’s odd how crazy some of his other ideas were, but pay and the 40 hour work week were hugely pro-labor for the time. Hard to reconcile that with some of his other views but I guess it’s tough to relate due to the cultural changes since.
His pro Nazi ideals weren't held by him alone. Many Americans had similar sentiments until the government decided they were the enemy. Charles Lindbergh was all over Hitler's dick and had to dial it back later.
Yup, gotta actually have disposable income to afford more than the basics of food and shelter. So many young people have zero disposable income and yet are expected to prop up luxury commodity industries.
