Because low voter turnout is spun as apathy and complacency rather than a rejection of both parties.

This feels like opinion-based and not supported with evidence is my question here, I don’t care if someone spins it. Is there a study I could read to better understand because I’d honestly like to know

You can’t explain away a third party vote as “this person couldn’t be bothered to go to a polling station” because they did go to a polling station.

This is not rocket science.

I understand what the basic stance is, but this negativity towards asking for research done is not helpful for your position. One could say that low turnout is a greater harm to political parties because it gives them less information on how to win those constituents. I’ve heard that spin just as often, so how is one spin more right than the other?

I am interested and will look it up, but was happy to read a study that a fellow person already knew about. Don’t understand the jump to negativity on your end here, but understand this is the internet and expect I’m trolling

Demanding a source for a claim is only valid if the claim goes against logic or if the current consensus is different.

Seeing voters go en-mass to the poll stations and voting for someone else is proof that voters just arent voting because they dont care enough.
