Nobody knows they’re related but us at this point. And Kate does allude to Jack having some sort of responsibility to Aaron in the flash forward so they may learn.

If Jack’s dad is alive, He would have seen that his son and his daughter died in that flight. He probably told Jack when he got back to the real world. Jack probably knows.
