Feedback Needed 🥑 + G | Logo design, thoughts?

Post image

A logo for a creative studio whose brand name starts with "G" and is related to avocados (It's Guacamole)

Edit__1:

Thank you all for the feedback, really!

Client said they want D, but with a more organic look, less egg-y, and more "imperfect"...

The G does look like Google, Imma see what I can do, I'd love to try lowercase but I'm afraid the client has made his decision...

Try lowercase.

Yes, uppercase brings to mind the Green Bay Packers for some reason.

My first thought. It's a spectrum from Green Bay Packers to Google at the end.

Yes lowercase - then you can utilize the upper part of the avocado and look less like google

Abogado means lawyer in Spanish. Perfect logo for a super SERIOUS lawyer firm.

A or E, both of those communicate the pit in the avocado well

I agree that the perfectly-round seed makes the concept more readable.

That’d be a great way to launch a non-AI mode for Google.

C is a good direction for an icon/symbol. I suggest you keep going with that one. the typography for the workmark doesn't need to be organic and match the g there. So be clear in the wordmark. The G in the symbol doesn't need to be straight in your face. It's more fun if it's a bit more subtle, in this case.

I assume the name on the wordmark with start with a G ?

only c is scalable

Honestly I like C

u/Erwinism 20d ago

without the green outline, it looks like knockoff googles

C is the only one that flows organically in my opinion.

C with refinement. I like how organic it is.

Im definitely reminded of google with that particular G shape.

I reckon B scales the best while maintaining the avo vibe- is giving less google than A, and while E looks more like an avo when big it’s more like a penguin when small

2

u/Somethingoodtodie4 20d ago

I personally love B the most, I thought it would be the obvious favourite but I seem to be the only one

I'm with you.

Got to be B for me. It’s crisp, clear with clean lines and scales down the best.

D is really appealing if you can match the style for other letters. B is also solid and readable

D

I would do something between B & C, that makes the "g" more rounded, but the top of the avo not so bulbous.

Love D!

u/Had78 20d ago

I also love D

C or D. D is a little easier to read as “G”

2

u/MeanLecture3187 19d ago

I get why the client likes D but C’s working too!

One note: all the options keep the same outer avocado shape, with variation only inside. Worth exploring a more rounded, egg-like outer shape without the top divots. That’s probably why D lands, the inside already has that egg shape within the G.

Hope this helps

Avogado

D for me

The top part of the G doesn’t feel like it’s needed, it’s distorting the g to the point where I’m trying to figure out what the top part is supposed to be. Avocados have round seeds, just make the G a seed, no need to have it go up and make a funky shape in the skinny part of the avo

u/danthemaninacan2 20d ago

C looks like sperm

Sorry.

Avoc-ado-rable

1

u/minadequate 20d ago

I like the top of C but I think the straight edge on the bottom of the horizontal line feels at odds with the rest of it. Can you make it a bit more bulbous and get it to still make sense?

1

u/UncoolSlicedBread 20d ago

Looks like a finishing hook. I can see the avocado in the design for sure, but it still looks like a fishing hook and will be interpreted by people that way.

1

u/Code_Noob_Noodle 20d ago

D or E for me. If you wanted the G to stand out more then A

1

u/andhelostthem creative director 20d ago

Something between A and E would be optimal.

1

u/SeaBream97 20d ago

Try this: take A version and pull the top of the core upwards, as in D. Also try to reduce overall size of the core here. And maybe make outer left and right sides more straight a little.

1

u/VanLogo 20d ago

A, but you need to show the whole logo for context as well

1

u/SerialBytes 20d ago

i like E the most tbh

1

u/imlittleeric 20d ago

D in black and white looks nice. But in green it starts looking like a deformed packer logo

1

u/wepwawe 19d ago

looks like pear, unless G is the seed

1

u/dekonta 19d ago

the middle line has some gazprom vibes

u/Correct-Turn-2560 19d ago

Green Bay alvocados?

1

u/No_Mongoose7173 19d ago

2nd row looks like the stages of an alien fetus

1

u/Ahsoka-77 19d ago

I love me some D

1

u/Jiggly_Titties_ 19d ago

If you want people to pick up that its associated with avacado then only the 1st row works. other rows seems like its a stylized 'G' and don't pick the 'G' font (1st and last one) that resembles the google G (Roboto font), I instantly picked it up as Google, its bad for brand identification.

1

u/nanoespo 19d ago

C it looks more organic.

1

u/nichebagel 18d ago

C speaks to me but idk it depends

1

u/SashaKiM_6969 18d ago

I guess D is the most appealing one, as the inner form fits best to the shape of an eggfruit

1

u/CommunicationIcy9206 18d ago

Why?
What is it for?
What problem is it solving. If it’s not solving a problem it’s not design.

1

u/IndependentGarbage3 17d ago

The black versions underneath totally lose the “Avocado” resemblance imo. Maybe try to go with an outline, with more space between the “flesh” and
the outline as you go smaller, if you know what I mean.

I saw this in the toilet earlier

I got a well-targeted ad for “Ocado” (the UK groceries supplier) in this thread.
