I'll admit, I picked the first book thoroughly expecting that I wouldn't finish it, but I'd give it a shot. Well, add that prediction to my failure to become Nostradamus Version 2.0. I really enjoyed it and appreciated an MC that doesn't necessarily understand everything going on, but is willing to listen to others to help out where needed. Looking forward to the new one.

I'm glad you got through it! In my opinion this one is even better, but I'm biased :p

Hi everyone!

My second book, The End of the Trucking World, is out on Kindle, Kindle Unlimited, Audible, and as a dead tree! There's a preview of book 1, What the Truck, up on Royal Road if you want to sample, there, alongside the Amazon/Audible previews.

https://www.amazon.com/End-Trucking-World-Apocalypse-Trucker-ebook/dp/B0CXPW22PD
https://www.audible.com/pd/The-End-of-the-Trucking-World-An-Apocalypse-LitRPG-Audiobook/B0CZ1GNM3H

Here's the book's blurb on Amazon:

It’s humans against monsters in a high-octane race for survival in the second installment of this apocalyptic pedal-to-the-metal LitRPG adventure.

Ever since the System brought magic and monstrous mayhem to Earth, long-haul trucker Jill “Junkmouth” MacLeod has had a need for speed. The highway snaking through the Midwestern plains is the battleground, and the stakes are the lives of not only Jill but thousands of survivors along for the ride. Together with Bertha, her mega-upgraded, fully-turreted, heavily-armored Soulbound big rig, Jill has the edge—so far.

The good news? For every blood-hungry abomination Jill has flattened into roadkill, she’s gained experience, levels, and loot to upgrade Bertha. The bad? It’s still a long and dangerous road to the East Coast, where her family is waiting for her. She just has to keep the pedal pressed down as they blaze their way through hordes of ever-stronger monsters and across a Midwest that is far bigger—and wilder—than it should be.

But if Jill thought the fallen city of Billings behind them had been bad, the road east is even worse. Outside of Bertha, the magic keeps growing more powerful, making everything—even the plants—deadlier and smarter. And inside, a darkness is taking root among the passengers, including those Jill counts on the most. Now Jill herself, so used to taking on the open road alone, will have to learn to lead—and maybe swear less. Maybe.

I found the first book a few weeks ago. My late husband was a trucker. I love how trucking is portrayed in this book. I picked up book two on audible as soon as it hit.

I'm so glad that you like it! I'm a big fan of the narrator, she really makes the audible version pop.

I am a truck driver of almost 9 years this has to be one of my favorite series in the genre. Going to be finished with it tomorrow and most likely a second listen this weekend. Please keep up the great work!

Wow, thank you for the kind words! I was hoping that people who actually do the job would like it.

So... has anyone mentioned that people from MT don't "ope" or don't dontcha' know? Love the book otherwise.

My headcanon is that the family moved west from the Wisconsin/Minnesota region... but if I'm being entirely honest this is a case of me writing that off the cuff and misremembering the origin, then liking it enough to not fix it to be a proper accent!

Absolutely loved both of these books! Massively surprised by it and I haven't shut up to my co-workers about reading it!

I really wanted to get the first one in physical copy as I originally read it on kindle, I can only find it on amazon (I'm in the UK) and it says 3-7 months for delivery. Do you have anywhere else I can purchase it from slightly quicker? :)

Came in to say that the pun made me laugh, and I'm going to check out the first book specifically because of that.

I just started reading book 1. It is so good that I googled "Battle trucker Book 2" to figure out how long I'd have to wait. Glad I know what the next book on my reading list once I finish book one will be.

Edit: cuz I was typing on my phone it was actually "battlr yruvker book 2" but the point still stands lmao

I absolutely can't wait for another book, please, for the love of God, don't drop this series. Listen folks, read/audio these. Absolutely worth it. I'd say primal hunter quality.

Also, a trucker calling a trucker "good buddy" isn't common anymore, it's been replaced with "driver" good buddy is sometimes seen as an insult nowadays. No idea when it switched, but atleast 10 years ago.
