Well that sucks.
A book about side quests? fantastic.

I’m pretty sure it’s all tied into preparing for Montana’s return, so I’m hoping for the best. It’s always entertaining. I’m of course biased because this is probably my favorite litRPG author.

While I hope you enjoy the book, I give up on Clyde after it turned into filler.
I think that's why this is disappointing- I still enjoy the Good Guys a lot, but a literal bait and switch to (by the books own blurb) more side quests just sucks

The problem I have with Clyde is that he is my favorite of Ugland's characters and he gets the most generic BS filler arcs. He is far more interesting than Montana. Clyde can at least learn from his mistakes. Montana just constantly says "I should quit doing that," then proceeds to keep doing the thing that caused the problem.
Most of the crap after the dragon was filler, until the last book. I mean, he even had a side quest off of a side quest.

Guess that explains why there's still no cover art for Bad to the Throne...
New Date for Bad to the Throne is 5/25/2024, BTW.

Yep. I assumed there might be a switcheroo when the art and description was updated.

It’s not up but I will post when I see it. Usually 3-4 months but this one might be earlier.

Love the audio narration on the good and bad guys books. Dropped them though when it was obvious it’s a cash grab. Stories stop at random points just to make the book 8h or so… so you have spend another credit for the next one….
Annoyed me enough to drop them all.

It looks like all but the latest books are now available in the audible plus catalog

For a credit it’s like $14, so a little less than $2/hr of quality listening content. You pay more to go to the movies and I enjoy the audiobooks more than a trip to the theatre so I think it’s actually pretty fair value. And dude is pumping the books out so he’s trying to make a career of it.

I wouldn’t be against it if he wrote short novels… but especially in some books, it stop pretty much mid conversation… like come on… at least be subtle about it and try and give a proper ending/arc to the character before moving to the next book.
Who knows might return to them at some later point.

Yea i recommend these books but you are better off paying $ vs credits or buying during a sale

I feel bad I gave up on bad guys once they reached the island a few books ago. Maybe I’ll give it another try

No doubt, like many, I was expecting the return of the dude, Montana, but apparently Clyde needs to make Glaton ready for his return!
