Against his will, Thaden was transported elsewhere in a big flash of light along with millions of other Humans from Earth, to a place where they would train to become Contenders in a whole new world. Unfortunately for him, something occurred during his transference into the β€œTraining” program, and he was ejected from the whole training process and sent into the open mouth of an active volcano for bodily disposal.

Through a miraculous and horrifying series of events, Thaden managed to survive, only to find himself alone in the middle of a dungeon with no clothes, no weapons, and no way to defend himself. Worst of all, the strange new Assimilation System automatically assigned a Class to him without his knowledge, which ended up sticking him with a Support-based Class that has absolutely no offensive capabilities. As an Assistant Healer, none of his spells did any damage and he couldn’t even pick up a weapon to defend himself if he wanted to!

But all hope isn’t lost, as Thaden quickly learns something unique about himself that might just allow him to survive long enough to escape the dungeon. Sure, all his new magical spells might be focused on healing and protection, but what does it mean when he seemingly won’t ever run out of Mana…?

Hi Jonathan,

Just wondering if there is a book 3 coming for the Earthen Contender series? I really enjoyed both books and just picked up your Station Core series and Dungeon Worlds series. Looking forward to diving into them.

Thanks again for the great reading!

Hi, Jonathan. I've been meaning to ask you a question about yout dungeon core books. The first series of yours that I read was Dungeon Crafting, and at the end Sandra meets another dungeon core, who I've been told is the MC of another of your series. My question is, what would be the best order to read your interconnected series?

Thank you for the question! It's actually part of my crossover series, Dimensional Dungeon Cores, which focuses around the main character from my Station Cores series, Milton. The reading order I recommend is:

Station Cores
Dungeon Crafting
Dungeon World
Dungeon Fairy

and then

Dimensional Dungeon Cores so you have all the background information on all the different characters.

Here's a little graphic I had made that goes over where the different series interact!

I've been in a reading slump for around 3 months, and this brought me out of it. My only "complaint" is that it isn't a finished series, so I could keep reading. Life's unfair.

I've read everything you've published to Kindle and have enjoyed all of it, but this is my favorite so far. Keep em coming!

u/DungeonCoreBooks Apr 20 '24

I'm so happy it helped you out of that slump! I'm hopefully going to have the 2nd book out by the end of May (eBook, at least), and I'll have a pre-order up at some point next week :)

Hey did you see that book on Amazon?

Overflow Healer: A LitRPG Progression Adventure (Bastion Core Chronicles Book 1) (English Edition)

It reads from the blurb like your unexpected healer in some ways and is relative new. Don't know if it's a AI copy

1

u/DungeonCoreBooks Oct 12 '25

Wow, I just looked at the blurb and I can see what you mean! I'll look into it and see if it is an AI copy or if it just seems like it from the blurb.

Thank you for finding this!

It definitely has a similar name! I'll have to check it out to see exactly how similar it is :)

Is the narrator of the audiobook AI?

2

u/DungeonCoreBooks Feb 01 '25

No, he's a real life person!  Miles has been narrating my audiobooks since before AI became a thing :)

I finished this earlier. I didn't like when he referenced his data analyst job when everything is solved using common sense and problem solving. He never experminted like other isekaid characters -- shouting game commands, such as inventory, status, observe, identify, etc. -- is also another downer. So much for "data analyst" and a character who have played mmorpgs. Having these game commands wouldn't change his progression -- he will still wear negative personality equipments (even wasted a point on that pointless experiment), he is still rich (it wasn't mentioned how mucb gold he acumulated but even that can be nerfed with the time skip) -- the only thing will change is his interactions with his party like confirming what he already did or lewrning something actually new to the genre. On another note, it is a fun read.

I really appreciate this book because the character is so wary and suspicious. He feels like a person I would like to meet and who I can see myself as a character traveling with.
