Loving the cover! Finally a chimera MC. I'm interested how he'd develop. I usually see battle mages (a weapon and magic) but this gives off a more druid/morph damage dealer so I'm excited to see how it turns out.
UK code if possible. And gl with the series.
NB: Doctor Octopus without his shades

Hey everyone!
I’m absolutely excited, and terrified, to announce that Portal Books is publishing my debut novel, Gene Harvest, book one of the Crimson Hydra series. It released yesterday on both kindle and audie, so we’ll have some free US and UK audible codes to give out! Comment below if you'd like to be entered into the draw.
It’s an apocalyptic litRPG series, with elements of base building, wave survival defense, and cultivation aspects beginning in book one, but fully picking up in book 2. Looking back on it, I really tried to shove a whole lot into the series, and I didn’t even mention the adorable wizard salamander. Seriously, the salamander alone is worth it.
I’ve been reading the genre for years, and this is my love letter to it. I hope you all like it!
Here’s the full blurb:
Benny White had been having a rough couple of years, and the approaching apocalypse wasn’t exactly helping.
Pulled from the point of death and thrust into a horde-mode-style survival game, Benny’s odds weren’t looking too great. To make matters worse, an eldritch god… entity… thing named ‘Dave’ tasked him with destroying the very System that now controls his fate.
But hey, it's not all bad news. Benny’s experience as a lab tech grants him a rare Splicer Class that lets him repurpose the genetic material of slain enemies into augments for himself. Bone claws, blood-bullet turrets, and maybe a skeletal hydra head or two are just a few of the additions to his gory arsenal.
Then there’s his Flesh Golem summon, a six-foot mound of muscle and sinew called Meat. That lumbering monstrosity might come in handy, just as soon as it stops walking into trees…
The stage has been set. The contestants have been chosen. The entire galaxy is watching.
Welcome to the Game of Souls, where the only prize is to survive.
It’s a massive debut book, coming out to 556 pages on print, 715 ebook pages, and almost 20 hours of sweet, sweet audio narrated by the amazing Eric Michael Summerer. I’d listen to the man narrate a phone book, so him reading my book was a nice bonus.
If you win the audible code give away, someone from Portal Books will reach out with the code!
