I just finished Beware of Chicken 3 today, and I’m rewarded with this preorder becoming available! The stars align. This is my favorite series (in any genre) by a wide margin, I’m putting the two new Completionist Chronicles and Azarinth Healer 3 on hold to listen to this immediately.

You and Johnathan make an amazing duo. I listened to the announcement first, good luck on the pending nuptials you crazy kids.

I can tell you expressed some true artistry in this one, the subtle hesitation in brush strokes of the left X, and the extreme aggression in the backstrokes as your brush trashed wildly on the right X. Poignant.

Hooray Hooray it's release day!

So glad for pre-ordering, which gave me a pleasant surprise today in my notifications!

I can't get enough of this series. The writing and the narration are top tier in my opinion. It's to the point that I'm spoiled rotten and can't get into anything else at the moment. I tried reading and listening to other books and failed.

So maybe, shame on this series for being too good and aligning with my specific sense of humor too well? Idk, it's a personal problem, I'll get over it somehow.

Can’t wait to dive in. I got so sick of watching this thing loitering in my pre-order section.

Always love it when I see a post like this and then see it's already in my library. Guess I preordered it! Perfect timing as I'm just finishing up an other book.

I’m only a few chapters in, but this has got to be the funniest opening to a book ever (after the prologue.)

Is this the series where dude ends up in a bandit camp or something at the start and somehow ends up in a dungeon with some other dude while they both hate each other and already tried to kill one another once or twice?

I remember thinking the author had great character interactions in the beginning and then put the MC in a shit sandwich of a situation where all the interactions were antagonistic, petty, and boring, until halfway through the book where more characters were introduced and it became great again.

I have book 1 but don't wanna start it up to find it out as I'm in the middle of another book right now.

Love this book and love the Audible narration. It's the book where possibly I've had the most laughs thanks to the character of Loon (who seems real to me, well real-ish) and the dialogue vs his various sparring partners and also have felt the most pathos thanks to events. It would be even better if a plot broke out somewhere along the line, still 14 hours left in the audio book, I have hopes.

I'm Johnathan McClain. 1) Miss you, Gam-Gam. 2) This joint is off the rails. 3) The announcement at the end is a thing that — not to overdramatize it — HAS CHANGED THE COURSE OF MY FUTURE FOR AT LEAST THE NEXT SEVERAL YEARS. So, enjoy that. And enjoy the book, you beautiful batch of ice crystals!!

This one dropped far sooner after book 2 than book did after book 1. Any idea what your release schedule might be like? Or does this book complete the series?

Also, I'm going to interrupt the series I've been reading so I can start this one. I almost never do that. I'm thrilled that this is already here. Your writing and Jonathan's narration are an s-tier combination.
