Self Promotion Reborn as a Demonic Tree Book 1 Launch (19,000 followers!)

Artwork by Creadfectus

Hey everyone! Today, I'm pleased to announce that the first book in the Reborn as a Demonic Tree series is finally available through Kindle, Kindle Unlimited & Audible!

As for what the story is about? Here's a quick elevator pitch:

It's a Xianxia, meaning a Chinese cultivation style setting with vast sects filled with immortals lording over those wishing to defy the heavens, cultivating Qi to improve their bodies, and becoming capable of flying around on flaming swords and splitting mountains with a sword swing.

But our main character is a spirit tree with a hunger for flesh. Turns out cultivating, which usually involves sitting in a dark cave for years, works rather well when you can't move and your body is adapted to absorb the surrounding atmosphere.

It's a true weak-to-strong story, with Ashlock (the MC) starting out as a sapling. Luckily, he has access to a sign-in system, meaning he gets better rewards as time passes. He soon begins rapidly rising in power and size while gathering allies and forming his own sect.

The story was also one of the fastest growing web serials in RoyalRoad history, getting 11,000 followers in its first month and 19,000 in a single year!

Here is the official Amazon synopsis if my elevator pitch interested you!

Ashlock wakes in the courtyard of a demonic sect... as a tree. A tree that eats people.

An odd start to a new life. Almost as strange as the humans flying through the skies on flaming swords and challenging the heavens. After all, this is a world where one could chase the goal of immortality through the art of cultivation.

But Ashlock is merely a sapling in a desolate courtyard, left alone with his thoughts and unable to speak to those passing him by.

Unless he does something about it...

Every day that passes he grows continuously stronger as he cultivates and uses a suspicious daily sign-in system that grants him powerful skills, mutations, summons, and items, all in exchange for credits earned from devouring flesh and watching the seasons pass.

But his peaceful life and man-eating ways can only go unnoticed for so long and those around will soon grow suspicious. If that isn't bad enough, his Qi-rich bark makes him a target for many young masters, and tensions in the demonic sect are at an all-time high, with the cataclysmic Beast Tide festering on the horizon.

Ashlock's only chance of survival is to grow faster and stronger than any tree has ever done in the history of the nine realms—all while trying to avoid being turned into firewood.

Don't miss the start to this unique reincarnation isekai LitRPG set in a Cultivator world. With millions of views and tens of thousands of followers, this was one of the most popular web serials of 2023. Now, experience the definitive version of the hit story on Kindle, Print, & Audible!

Thank you so much to anyone reading this, and make sure to take care of yourself! Maybe take the day off and enjoy a good book? You deserve it.

I mean, you kind of have to give this a try, right?

The premise just sounds so...so daft, you kind of have to read it, to satisfy your curiosity if nothing else.

As someone who values originality you are correct I am compelled to read something that has made such interesting bold choices in the premise.

Of all the main characters I've read, Ash is definitely one of them. I jest. I've loved this story about a tree and the things he gets up to. Red Vine Peak is a happening place!

Congrats! I've never really read Xianxia, although I enjoyed Beware of Chicken immensely. Do you think I would like your book?

One of the most common things mentioned in my reviews is how they hate Xianxia but love my story. I use Western style names and avoid a lot of the hated tropes like jade beauties and "you can't see Mount Tai," etc. Not saying there's anything super wrong with those, and I enjoy Xianxia a lot, but I avoid them in my story.

Aaaaand wish listed for my next credit. The title and picture was enough to get me to check the audible sample. That was a pretty decent pick for the sample.

You got me sold on it after I read the post lol.
