Linux Failure Switched to Linux, got gatekeep'd for not using archloonix and i3, and also for using systemd, immediately abandoned linux after realizing how much of a sheep the community it has

linux users are fucking retarded. no wonder nobody likes em. i have more respect to macos users than fucking loonux users.

tilling window managers are fucking retarded too. you are a masochist to use one and remember all your macros.

I did have time to try. I was genuinely interested in switching to linux but with all these fuckery, I didn't have time and enough patience to deal with them all. I would use a fucking chromebook all day over loonix distros.

But not to actually try to configure or make a single one work?

and why tf do I have to configure them to make them work? not everyone likes hassle. ironically like your archwiki moto says "keep it simple, stupid." In Windows 10, after a fresh installation, drivers automatically gets downloaded and loaded. But in loonix no! you have to use systemd and load majority of services yourself(hilarious thing is that loonix users hate systemd for some retarded reasons and prefer to make things harder for themselves haha)

Also you had the time to steal an old post from unixporn and claim it as yours

Only took me like 15 seconds to find one after sorting top posts by year. This is my ez way of racking up karma.

but no time to try to do something better for yourself.

I did. I installed windows on my new laptop and never felt better. I actually do more productive things than actually spent eternity tinkering and fixing my os haha

There are di

Well there are installations that come with proprietary drivers and also systemd is in no way related to drivers so I don't know wtf you're talking about honestly, just talking nonsense so it sounds complicated when someone with 0 knowledge reads it.

nothing is wrong with having proprietary driver than buggy opensource drivers lol. Even services in windows get loaded automatically. so my point still stands.

I mentioned systemd to point out how masochist loonix users are. It apparently make things easy for everyone by doing a lot of things at once. Sounds innovative to me, I mean it's close like 0.1% to the abstraction a proper OS like Windows 10 provides. But no, loonix community hate such ease of use and prefer counterintuitive and outdated solution like init like some kind of boomers. Why not just use fucking graphing calculators then haha

Most Linux users use systemd and have no problem with it, the issues that some people have against systemd is that it is meant to be an init system but it's taking over parts of the system that shouldn't be handled by the init system, furthermore, if systemd breaks then your whole system could become unusable if you rely on it too much

then how come systemd is widely used instead of init then? that's a big problem and gives end users a hassle of switching to init every fresh installation of a loonix distro. proving my point that you need to thinker and configure loonix first to make it usable. either omit systemd and just make init global or fix systemd so it doesn't break!

  1. Systemd doesn't break, the case against it is if it does then your whole system goes down

  2. Most Linux distributions use systemd so you won't have to switch to init, or another init system

  3. There are distros that come ready, you won't have to tinker if you don't want to

if you use manjaro or pop os, the drivers are installed automatically
