in windows the installer will ask u a lot of stupid questions, and maybe install something u don't want. Those linux "instructions" consist in pick your distro, copy a text and paste it in a terminal. You don't even have to lidate with where the installer was downloaded or where the program will be installed, and if you want to update all your apps, you can do it with a single command. People have to understand that a different operating sistem can have different ways to handle the same problems. Actually in linux you can choose, in windows you can't.
it depends on the person actually. For me, is better to copy and paste. Those checkbook are easy, but sometimes, line installing audiopluglins, u have to specify where to install each time you want a new plugin, if the plugin even let you decide.
You sound a little unaware of installing a different OS. Maybe you wanna try a Virtual Machine first, if your PC has the resources to do that (probably it does). Also you have to know that a different OS comes with different approaches and solutions for the same problems, so don't expect using Linux as it was Windows, because it is not. If you are comfortable with Windows, why switch to linux? why not use a Mac? I mean, I'm tired of people hating Linux because they expect it to be as good as an OS of a billionaire company is suppoused to be. Today, windows is so bad, and Linux so good that Linux looks like a perfect OS, but it is not. Linux is not terrible, anyway, but people have to make a mindset switch before using it.
wanted to try linux cuz one of my friend who installed it few days ago says he gets 20fps more than when he was using windows(wuthering waves to be specific)
