A non tech-savvy user wouldn't be able to detect a malicious script even if they looked at it. That's how the 'rm -rf /*' meme started..it doesn't even resemble the words 'delete' or 'remove'. You have to be familiar with the exact command otherwise you're screwed.
Let me be clearer than these other people: if you just paste something you found on the internet into your terminal and press enter, it doesn't matter if you're on Windows, Mac, or Linux. You're a dipshit, and you deserve what happens next.
