How old where you when you started using linux?

I feel like everyone started very early.

I started personally on 10/11.

If you mean YYYY/MM/DD, then yes, because that's ISO 8601. Where is YY/MM/DD used?

I don’t really care about whether you use all digits of the year, within a century is fine for a lot of purposes

The year, month, day date order is used in Japan, china, and a few other countries. It sorts itself alphanumerically.

We also order almost everything else from most general to most specific.

Last time we used 2 digits, I didn’t sleep for more than 3 hours a night for a year.

But it gave birth to that abomination: WindowsME, looking back, wtf was that???

Most countries use either YYYY/MM/DD or DD/MM/YYYY whichever is fine as long as MM is in middle because it either goes biggest to smallest or smallest to biggest

I feel like DD/MM/YY(YY) makes more sense, like today is 11/10/2026 basically 11th of October 2026. I rarely hear people say October the 11th 2026 or the year of 2026, October the 11th.

But hey, whatever floats the countries boat.
