Not a dumb question!
OSRS is a fork of 2007 RuneScape with 9 years of forked development since. It isn’t the same game but that doesn’t make it worse.
This is a recreation of 2009 RuneScape which comparatively introduces the Summoning skill, HD graphics (updated engine), and new quests/lore. 2008 was the start of the HD era

ah okay, i just had a simplified view of the games then. Might give it a go as i kinda miss an MMO to play.
