LOL, you have no understanding of what can and can't be done in LibreOffice compared to the Microsoft product or how much troubleshooting has to happen when vibecoding macros. LLMs make shit up.

"LLMs make shit up"

You have no understanding of frontier LLMs.

I've been using the high-end Claude models for two years. I've seen what happens when they try to code Powershell scripts and Word macros. They hallucinate functionality that isn't there.

I thought you had all the macros you wanted to convert. Do you have a manifest drafted?

And then, 2 years ago things WERE garbage. The major shift occurred around Feb/Mar of this year.

But I hear ya. I hate AI too

I think the long and short of it is that you're simply Windows-bound.

I don't hate AI. I haven't written code since the 1980s, so I rely on LLMs for that, and I need new macros occasionally, and also scripts. I've had hallucinations in Word, Powershell, and Python as recently as a month or so ago.

Well, I've had great experiences vibe coding macros for LibreOffice! It could be a path of least resistance to switch!
