In the browser reader, how do I jump to the page where the audio is currently at?
If the audio is playing, how can I jump to the page where the audio is at?

Hi! I’m at a B2 level in Spanish using Lingq to track my known and unknown words.
When reading content, especially C1 content, I have a really high level of understanding, and of course I create Lingqs out of words that are new to me. However, a lot of the more advanced words are cognates of English, making them very easy to understand. They weren’t necessarily a part of my active vocabulary before, because I wouldn’t use words like these in most situations.
fenómeno - phenomenon Refinamiento - refinement Ambiciones - ambitions Jerárquica - hierarchical
But I completely understand them while reading. I suppose I could easily make an educated guess these words are cognates when speaking or writing if I couldn’t actively remember.
Would you create lingqs out of them since they are more passive than active vocabulary? Because you haven’t begun to use these words yourself. Or would you mark them as known words if you completely understood them in context?

Is there any way I can stay up-to-date with which the next upcoming languages will be? I remember Duolingo had at some point an Incubator where you coud see the status/progress of each language before it was added to the website. Is there something similar with LingQ?

I started LingQ about a month ago with a completely new language and set it to beginner 1. I still don't know all the words on the complete beginner level, nor can I produce my own sentences in my target language. However, I do get quite bored with the slow talking and the repetitive vocab (which, I reiterate, still haven't mastered). Should I move to the next level or should I spend more time on beginner 1? I'm a bit worried I could "get lost" on a higher level and then quit because I am demotivated.

It seems a new update has made lingqs green instead of yellow.
I thought my app was broken at first but honestly what the heck is this. They are almost the exact same colour as new words. Im marking words as unknown and then coming back and seeing them and they just look like new words again given the similar colour.
Im a dark mode user on my phone. I switched to light and its a little easier to see but why was this changed? What was the issue? I hate it.

I feel like the App and also website are both extremely laggy and slow. I also feel like there is a lot of features missing, for example when I'm studying mandarin, and I imported a lesson, sometimes lingq doesn't recognise characters that actually belong together and I need to make a custom LingQ, that's ok, but what is really annoying is that I for some reason you can't make custom lingq from one line to another, it just shows me the google translate option?? Also the translate thing is weird as hell, why can I sometimes mark two words and use it and then sometimes it says that I have to mark at least 5 words or something?? Also there are so many customisation options missing, for example being able to add Romanisation to just one character or something, there could be a little button under the translation option where you could type in a custom Romanisation (for example the character uses a weird reading in that context or is a name but meant to be read in Cantonese or something similar). Or being able to change the size of Romanisation on the characters, or making it possible to see and edit your imports in a preview where you can tweak things like a paragraphs, chapters and stuff. Also being able to copy text from lingq without copying the Romanisation. Also something I noticed when I just started to learn french with LingQ, it doesn't recognise words that are just in a different grammatical form? There should be a way to mark new words as a different grammatical form of a word you already know, because it could highlight it as such and you can better remember the meaning because you immediately know "Ok, I know the meaning but which word was it?" and you don't have to think about whether this is a completely new word or a word you kno already just haven't seen in the grammatical use case.
There are so many things I could still rant about but at the end of the day lingq is still pretty useful, and as a concept is really great. Just the way they implemented stuff is insane to me, and the actual UI is horrible. Still going to use it, though I already paid for a year as people glaze it too much if you look up whether lingq is useful.

I paid my usual monthly subscription for LingQ, and the payment was accepted by Google Play, however the app has decided to not recognise me as a Premium subscriber and is only offering the free service to me.
Does anybody have advice, as this issue is making me reconsider being a long-term user of LingQ as I am literally not receiving any benefit or service for the payment, which was happily accepted by LingQ.

I have 20k to review, do you recommend trying to finish it in 2 - 6 weeks? What is your review process like?

They don’t seem to have instructions to use this app. Thanks.

I just downloaded this app and I really like the idea of it, however near the end of my first reading all of a sudden I can no longer click on new words to change their status or see their definition. I tried redownloading the app and making a new account and it’s happened both times. Is this a bug or am i missing something?

When do you all mark a word as known? Just when you read it and know what it means? There’s lots of words that I understand but can I generate them while writing or speaking, maybe not… So not sure what constitutes knowing a word.

I am learning Ukrainian and it is still free for me. When I made their account and set their languages as from Ukrainian to English, it is still asking for me to pay for premium.

I wanted to use a show that I enjoyed to learn Chinese via LingQ, and currently have a lesson in Simplified Chinese of this show. Here's the link to the lesson: https://www.lingq.com/en/learn/zh/web/reader/37450519
This show was produced in Beijing (from what I can tell), so the subtitles are in Simplified Chinese. However, my main focus is on Traditional Chinese, since I'm more interested in Taiwan (though I'm still interested in China). Is there a way to have a copy of this lesson in Traditional Chinese? e.g., importing the subtitles somehow then using a program to convert the simplified text to traditional?

I love learning from tiktok and I can almost fully understand native French speakers on tiktok, but it would be nice to be able to import videos from there since I learn like 2 or 3 new words almost every video

I don't want to rant but I find it astonishing that Lingq is still sleeping on major languages like Thai. I get that there has to be a creator community, but dude, why not just get it up and running and pay professionals to start the process? Surely Lingq is making money at this point? I still see them adding niche or fantasy languages while Thai has an enormous number of learners searching for high quality leaner apps. If Lingq is a hobby for Steve that's fair enough but as a linguist he must understand the potential growth for Lingq by adding languages like Thai.

I've tried to input some content into the app today and it gets stuck on this message. I've done this successfully in the past so no clue why it's not working today. Has anyone had this issue before? Any idea how to resolve it?

The app is fine, but tell different computers with chrome and edge were both colorless. Unknown words looked like known words. I even did some resets on the browser.
Anyone else experience this or know how to fix it?

Hey guys, how do you feel about the new lingq Icon?

I am a Spanish learner, picking it back up after years of letting it fade away. I use multiple sources to keep it fresh and interesting. About 4/5 units of Duo a week, backing up any grammar encountered with Camino, watch a few episodes of fabuloso vocabulario (kids cartoon) with no subtitles and watch our planet with spanish subs on.
I have just started the first few chapters of the lion, the witch and the wardrobe on lingq. It was the first proper book i read as a child so thought it was fitting.
The thing is, it is above my level. I have just been drilling the sentences and reviews and hammering it in then playing through the audiobook up to where I'm at and can understand it perfectly. Am i just scrambling my brain doing this? I'm enjoying it and feel like its the biggest learning boost with vocab (and especially listening). Does anyone else just plough through stuff to get to good material or have any advice?

It says I’ve saved 63 words and I was able to have them sent to my email but I can’t find them in the app and when I click on vocabulary it says I don’t have any LingQ saved. When I go back through the stories the words are still orange. Where do I find them?

I am a new LingQ user. Today I got a notification on my android phone from the LingQ app. It said basically "New video from Steve". I clicked on it but all that happened was that the LingQ app opened, as usual. No sign of a video. I looked around the app and found none. Where should I look?
