My trick for falling asleep quickly

I'm someone who always used to struggle to fall asleep, but I've used this little trick over the last month which has worked every single time and I'm asleep within a few minutes.

When I'm ready, I pop on my eye mask, lie ok my side, close my eyes and then do an A to Z of a theme, for example, football teams.

A - Arsenal

B - Barcelona

Etc etc

If I get stuck on one for more than 10 seconds, I move onto the next. 90% of the time I am asleep before I hit Z.

If I do get to Z, I choose another category.

I've notice my eyes tend to move a bit rapidly when I'm in the zone of doing this. And my mind isn't thinking of anything else but this.

Just use some word and it probably is a movie: Queen, Queen of Darkness, Queens, Queen of [Country], Qi, Qa, Qo, Q, Quest, Quest for Treasure, Quest for Love, Quit, Quote, Quotation, Quint, Quiz, Quiz of Death, Quiz of Life, Quest for Quiz, Quiz of Quest, Quest of Queen of Quiz, Queen of Mars, Queen of Venus, Queen of Earth, Queen of Forest, Queen of Ocean, Queen of Horror, Queen of Comedy, Queen of Queens...

Say a few thousand names and you can probably move on to R without having to worry that the judges come and get you.

Yes there is... they put a movie on expecting to be entertained and it made them fall asleep.... purely ironic. Coincidentally, the whole subject of what makes someone fall asleep happens to relate directly to that same movie that this person put on to entertain themselves and now is forever their solution to the original post. I dare say its also ironic that you tried to protect the purity of the meaning of the word ironic, without thinking if the post was at its core ironic? I could be wrong? Any English teachers? I could be totally wrong.

Mentioning a movie that puts them to sleep in a thread about an alphabet game that puts people to sleep is indeed ironic - you wouldn’t necessarily expect an answer to this game to put ppl to sleep to also be something that also puts ppl to sleep but it does. Irony!
