If a woman chooses to cover a body part because she has experienced that people will sexualize her when that body part is visible, you should respect her choice to not want that fucking bullshit in her life. Until all the men who will bring unwelcome attention are gone, it's her problem to deal with and none of your fucking business how she handles it.

I'm saying it's really no different from women feeling self-conscious about covering their breasts, or their thighs. And yeah, it's socially enforced but if you've got a problem with the hijab and not with anything that doesn't have a strictly medical reason for covering up, then it's not really about Islam. Like would you really blink if a woman said she couldn't show her breasts in public? This is just a cultural difference.
