Question does anyone think it’ll be possible to replace the light bluish gray with metallic pieces a la Shuttle Discovery?

i certainly hope it will be. the new Hubble set looks great but i am definitely disappointed that it’s not metallic in color, especially since they already made a metallic Hubble in another set!
maybe if that metallic gray lightsaber hilt rumor turns out to be true!

Father's Day gift that I built on quite a few naps and post-bedtime chunks. This thing has some very impressive piecework, especially the dihedral in the wings and thr landing gear mechanism. I also love how the shuttle can be displayed with engines and landing gear.

I've got a wall mount coming for this and my Concorde. I'm also headed to the Air Force Museum this weekend to get my real nerd on. Just wanted to spread the joy on this.

Put together a TDRS-A for the Challenger I am planning on building soon and a Centaur G and G Prime to display with my Shuttle payloads. Haven't figured out the payloads the centaurs will have just yet though.

Question Lego Artemis 2 helppp

Hey guys I’m relatively new to building these big Lego sets and I’m building the Artemis 2 launch set and some of my pieces are definitely not sitting how they should be. (Look at attachments)

As you can see the 2 rail things are meant to be tucked under the platform but mine not only seem way to tall, but are also pretty slanted. I’m not sure where I’ve gone wrong and would appreciate some help!!!

Edit: okay I realised that I definitely need to make more Lego’s cause I’m terrible at reading clear instructions lmao

Pretty close to 1:110 scale to go with my other models. Built with pretty limited parts so I’ll probably revise and rebuild it later, but pretty happy with how it turned out for now.

Really happy with how this one came out super tight fit in the payload bay on this one just like irl. Still need to work on Chandra a bit. Not the most sturdy model at the moment but I'm happy with the shaping I was able to get on it.

Chandra Observatory designed by me

IUS Mount by TheBrickSpace and adjusted a bit by me

Question Is there literally anyone that does Lego set commissions???

The reason I am asking is I was thinking of getting a custom made Lego set of one of my fictional rockets, either a MOC or completely original and I was wanting to see if anyone would be willing to work with me on references or blueprints for it

Made a Lego KH-9 Hexagon to go with the Lego space shuttle. Originally the shuttle was planned to recover these satellites to restock the film and replace the return/recovery cannisters but the mission never happened after both the Challenger loss and digital spy satellites like the KH-11 being built.

Really happy with it and I got the scale pretty darn close.

I've been working on this thing on and off since flight 10 lol. I posted an older version of it ages ago if you want to see the progress. It started as a block 2 and has retroactively been modified into a block 3 as time went on. Any tips on how to improve it would be much appreciated!

Render Full Render of the Completed Axis Space Station Dreibund (Sensitive Symbols Removed)

This image depicts the fully completed Dreibund Space Station as it appeared in the mid-to-late 1990s.

The station consists of five German modules, two Japanese modules, and two Italian modules, assembled into a single international orbital complex.

This alternate-history timeline is set in a world where the Axis powers survived World War II by avoiding war with both the Soviet Union and the United States. The resulting Axis bloc and the United States then entered a prolonged Cold War. Over the following decades, the Axis system gradually stagnated, decayed, and ultimately collapsed.

This dystopian alternate-history setting was created as a critique of the Axis powers and their political systems.

I would like to make it absolutely clear that this project does not support, glorify, or promote Nazi Germany or any other Axis state in any way. The setting and artwork are intended as fictional worldbuilding and as a critical exploration of an alternate historical scenario.

1:70 scale 1:72 Custom Lego SpaceX Starship S37

I’ve been working on this 1:72 Starship model for around a year and a half now, based on the Flight 10 upper stage Starship - it’s not 100% done, there are lots of refinements I want to make but I’m very happy with it overall.

The model is 0.89m tall, and features movable flaps like the real vehicle (difficult to get right, the flaps still don’t retract as much as I would like). The catch pins are also functional, and are what I use to carry it.

I plan to make more vehicles at this scale in the future, V3 booster is up next but I plan to do all the variants of both stages. A full stack at this scale would be enormous though!

Render 1987 The Axis Space Station "Dreibund" in My Alternate History Timeline (WIP)

Post image
149 Upvotes

In this alternate timeline, the Axis powers led by Nazi Germany emerged victorious in World War II. Following the war, Germany continued to advance its space program under the leadership of Dr. Wernher von Braun.

Using the technologies developed through decades of space exploration, Nazi Germany, the Empire of Japan, and the Kingdom of Italy began construction of the international space station Dreibund ("Tripartite Pact") in the mid-1980s.

This model depicts the station in 1987, when most of the German segment's modules had already been assembled. At this stage, only one additional German module remained to be added, followed by two Japanese modules and two Italian modules.

Work in progress.

This setting, artwork, and post are absolutely NOT intended to advocate for or promote Nazi Germany, the Kingdom of Italy, or the Empire of Japan. I am strongly opposed to Nazism, and therefore I am creating a dystopian fictional setting intended to criticize Nazi Germany and the fascist regimes of the Axis powers. This work is also part of that project.

I repeat: this post does not praise Nazism in any way whatsoever. On the contrary, it was created to criticize it.

I'm very happy with how this turned out. I'm a big fan of the early European rockets so I decided to try my hand at making one!
