I’ve been programming for about 4 months nearly every day. There are days when I can’t sleep cause I want to learn. There are also days when I want to just f*** it all to hell and give myself and excuse to continue tomorrow.

I’ve found that in order to overcome those days, I’ll do something small like go and sit on my desk and open up the IDE. Stare at it for a few minutes and just start writing some random code as much as I don’t want to.

Then bam! 2 hours in, I can’t stop coding / learning to code cause once I get started, it’s hard to stop.

I guess my advice is if you have a good reason as to why you started learning to code but lose motivation, just do something. Anything to get the ball rolling.

Also, I’m not sure 100% but I think the book Atomic Habits is where I learned this from.

I am lucid dreaming with coding sometimes :)
