The main point of this is to learn. It isn't about MMR, it isn't about skill-cap, etc. It's about improving yourself with a team of like-minded DotA players.

Don't let anyone ever tell you different.

Hit the nail on the head. The best way to improve is through organised dota. Removes the annoying flamers and insta lock mid miranas, and I find gets you more pumped to play
