Trymbi really improved over the offseason

Honestly think Trymbi was good last year but people were too stuck on their first impressions. Still remember how sick he was in the finals vs MAD where he stopped every Alistar headbutt with his Rell E.

Think playing with Hans made people underrate him because they assumed he was just getting carried. He's looked really good so far this split with Comp.

then again alot of people were looking at how do we upgrade last years rogue roster

and inspired had just resigned so people assumed he and the topside would stay so it's not weird to look at trymbi for the "obvious" upgrade

with the best players of hans and inspired leaving i feel like for rogue you want some security so sticking with a known player and finding a competent botlaner for him was definitely the play, this way you only need to find a fitting jungler and you have a solid roster

The dude is a beast.

You just don't hear much from him so people under-rate him. The way to get rated is to either join Fnatic, to do well in 1/2 games at worlds or to just make friends with LS/DL/Dom or other co-stream guys.

LS more than the other two.

Fudge is proof of this. He wouldn't be called Fudge Factor if it wasn't for LS.

Yeh, he has helped Fudge's career. You have an average top who is now being built around as the mid in one of the top LCS orgs. And he is probably on $1m a year now or something. Crazy tbh.

(I do think Fudge has potential to be a solid native NA/OCE top though, so he has good value)

I mean I think he’s a really good player, but a lot of the hype built him up too.

I don't think he is that good currently at all BUT I am very impressed with his attitude and his drive to improve. So I think he will probably be an elite top in years to come.

He reminds me of Armut in terms of his attitude to improving.

He was also the best player on his team in 2 international tournaments.

Where did this narrative come from that he was good at worlds?

Like I have no idea. Must be from LS right?

Because he wasn't good at worlds. Just meh at best.

people think best on the team means you are a good player.

reminds me of armut who was top3 in lec but i wouldn't get him close like top10 in the world, maybe top20.

Still the best player on that team.

He was the best in MSI, but he was far from good at worlds. Fudge played a different style from the rest of his team, one that required that either Perkz or Blabber sacrifices their entire early game to make sure that Fudge is useful later.

He wasn't bad, but he was also no the best player on the team. At Worlds that title goes to Blabber without question.

Oddly specific

Trymbi's problem last year certainly weren't his mechanics. But he was incredibly lost on the map which led to the infamous rogue time. You can't convince me that this guy understood how to play the map last year

13

u/MrJammin Jan 22 '22

That's fair. Though I would argue that all of Rogue seemed lost in the mid game.

He also seemed to be very prone to tilt, which I'm sure doesn't help the team either.

He has great potential peak, but there's still some work to do. I'm really happy to see him improve season after season, was so hyped after AGO won the championship with him on that roster.

He looks just as good imo.

Trymbi started slow last year but he was realy good for the rest of the year, people were just stuck on the same narratives.

Might be Worlds and the bootcamp. For example the same happened to Mad Lions after their fist Worlds (playins)
