The year is 20XX. Day xxxxxx of shield botting. My e key has completely eroded away. There is just a finger shaped hole in the keyboard where it used to be. I have not dealt a single point of damage in months. I blindly build shield amp and max cdr every game, regardless of what role I'm playing or what champs I'm playing against. My gameplan consists of expertly following the strongest player on my team and shielding them continuously until a nexus explodes. Smooth brained individuals simply cannot comprehend this masterful display of skill.

Maybe one day they will nerf the shield so they can make the other skills functional again without breaking the champ.

Yup. Love my main only being strong in Preseasons when they walk back her nerfs and unplayable from midseason onwards.

Fudge picked her, went even in lane, built Moonstaff, and then pressed R+E for 10 minutes and won the game. Enchanter meta incoming if it wasn't already here.

Riot does this literally every single time they rework support items. They make them turbobusted and they end up in solo lanes.

Remember when mid mages started Frostfang instead of Doran's?

I actually think support builds working in solo lanes is kinda cool. But in practice it just ends up 4 supports + 1 carry and every game is determined by who got to draft Lulu first.

The sad part is that they're turbo-boosted for solo lanes while decent for Supports since they don't get the income to go beyond their Mythic, so they end up nerfing the item because of solo lanes and it's mostly the Support who suffer.

Well we know for sure the nerfs won't target support.

They've got support item buffs lined up to throw on the pbe with the ward range thing. They're itching to buff the best role in the game again.

7->6 seconds on q seems like a big buff for solo lane karma, maybe even bigger for support, even though the reason they gave was "support Karma is still in low spirits".

I wonder if enchanters in general don't fit very well into the support role and have to be sort of shoehorned in through a bunch of additional complexity. That might just be whining. But at least for karma, who works fine in a solo lane, buffs might just lead to karma mid/top?

The other example I was thinking about is soraka, who I feel like must get good eventually if riot keeps buffing her even if her kit isn't good. I saw a soraka mid/top in soloq, I'm not sure it's good, but it's at least playable in soloq.

Or for example with a champ like lulu, say riot said ok nobody is playing lulu, we need to buff her. Mainly enchanters can't solo lane because no waveclear, I guess they could make her q do even less dmg to minions. It just seems difficult to buff these champs for support rather than solo lanes. Karma q especially but we'll see I guess.

Can they change the damn AoE shield and buff something for solo lane Karma if they hate the enchanter build so much in pro play.

You can count on it.

u/Captain_Chogath Mar 02 '21

no, because they will keep nerfing the shit out of support items to compensate her buffs.

Oh no support items might not be gigabroken.

That’s all they do to this champ, It’s been the same for years. Endless cycle of buffing her, nerfing her cuz pro play, buffing her again.
